White Box Mailer (Black Bags)

Star Wars Spirits of the Rebellion limited to just 5,000 sets worldwide, the Company Gentle Giants offered an exclusive 4-Pack of Bust Up's. The set was sealed in four small Black plastic bags. The infamous Glow in the Dark set was released later with a limited quantity of just 500.  There was also a regular set called "Heroes of the Rebellion" created which were painted as you can see in the image below.

Chewbacca, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa & C-3PO

AUTHENTHIC GLOW IN THE DARK BUST UP'S FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION

At the San Diego Comic Book Convention which was held in 2004, one had to be picked out of a lottery drawing in order to buy them. The four Glow in the Dark Bust Up's are:

C-3PO

C-3PO is first created by a young Anakin Skywalker on the planet Tatooine. A Protocol Droid who is fluent in 6,000.000 forms of communication. His counterpart is R2-D2 the Astromech Droid.

Please note that all images contained herein are "fake" and "bootleg items"

C-3PO (Front)               C-3PO (Back)

Han Solo

Originally from planet Corellia, Han Solo worked for Jabba the Hutt as a smuggler. Known as a space pirate and finally a hero of the Rebellion for his intervention during the assault of the first Death Star Space Station which allowed Luke Skywalker to fire away the critical proton torpedoes.

Please note that all images contained herein are "fake" and "bootleg items"

Han Solo (Front)       Han Solo (Back)

Luke Skywalker

A young farm boy who lived on planet Tatooine, Luke Skywalker is thrust into aidding Obi-Wan Kenobi to deliver the secret plans of the Death Star hidden inside of R2-D2. A hero of the Rebellion for destroying the Death Star.

Please note that all images contained herein are "fake" and "bootleg items"

Luke Skywalker (Front)     Luke Skywalker (Back)

Princess Leia Organa

Captured by Darth Vader, Leia escapes the Death Star with the combined help of Luke, Han, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2. She delivers the plans to the Rebels secret base for the assault on the Death Star.

Please note that all images contained herein are "fake" and "bootleg items"

Princess Leia (Front)     Princess Leia (Back)

This was one critical error for the manufactures of the fake Leia. This piece never existed in the Glow in the Dark set of 4. All of these have a cloudy milkish White coloration.

All of these "fakes" have really loose limbs and not nice snap fit tight limbs which the original versions had.

Assembly is required for these plastic micro-busts. Each piece stands approximately two to three inches tall (2" - 3") when fully assembled. They are in a nice clear White as depicted in the pic above.

These items are fairly difficult to obtain right now on ebay. A great item to display. I really enjoyed searching for these four on ebay for I found an ebay listing with just the Princess Leia regular version. The regular versions are solid plastic and are completely painted. I emailed the Seller and he told me that he had all four on auction. I could not believe that there were three others and I purchased them quickly by using the "Buy it Now!" button on the listing. Check out my other Guides in regards to Star Wars Holographic items.

The other four that were released after were:
  • Yoda Clear White Bust Up
  • Darth Vader Blue Bust Up
  • Darth Maul Blue Bust Up
  • Darth Sidious Blue Bust Up
It should be noted that the Darth Vader and Darth Maul Busts were from a set called the "Sith Lords". Darth Sidious was sold boxed with a Red Emperor's Royal Guard and a Comic Book created by Dark Horse Comics titled "Crimson Empire." The retail price was $24.99.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me through ebay. I will not sell or buy items outside of ebay. My Star Wars items are for my personal collection. I firmly believe in sharing knowledge through others and ebay is a excellent well of knowledge and a fantastic source for one to find items that they desire. I also believe that if you keep on looking, you will find what you desire on the wonderful world of ebay.

White Box Mailer (Black Bags)

Star Wars Spirits of the Rebellion were limited to just 5,000 sets worldwide, the Company Gentle Giants offered an exclusive 4-Pack of Bust Up's. The set was sealed in four small Black plastic bags as seen above and packed in the plain White box as depicted above.

The Spirits of the Rebellion Glow in the Dark Bust Up's are the most sought after since there were only 500 sets made.  There was also a regular set created which were painted.

Note that the image below is a "fake" or a "bootleg". This piece was never created as a Bust Up. Only the regular painted version of Leia with the Pistol raised vertically. There are "fakes" and "bootlegs" that do exist on the Glow in the Dark set also.

The key mistake was Princess Leia, both the real Spirits of the Rebellion Spirit of Princess Leia and the Spirits of the Rebellion Glow in the Dark Leia have her with both hands holding the Blaster straight or in a horizontal position.

Box Description:

The struggle for the galaxy becomes more intense when the All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) Imperial Walker enters the battlefield. This powerful reproduction makes an amazing display piece for any collector or a deadly addition to any Star Wars Miniatures battle. Can any Rebel squad stand against the power of the AT-AT Imperial Walker? Use the AT-AT Imperial Walker to relive the Battle of Hoth or create your own Star Wars experience.

The All Terrain Armored Transport. The Walker. The AT-AT. This formidable mobile weapons platform personifies the Imperial doctrine of "rule through fear" and is the most terrifying assault vehicle in the Empire's arsenal. The command deck, housed within the walker's "head," features stations for a pilot and gunner, as well as a command station for combat coordination.

The most famous engagement involving AT-ATs was the Battle of Hoth. On that ice-covered, remote world, the Rebel Alliance established a command center called Echo Base. When the Empire discoverd activity in the desolate system, it launched a massive attack that included Imperial Walkers and battle-ready Snowtroopers. The Rebel forces had no hope of victory in the face of such weapons of war. All they could do was fight to delay the advance of the Empire's forces to give their transports time to escape. Now, with this massive AT-AT figure, you can re-create that fateful battle-or devise new scenarios of your own!

Phantom Menace Queen Amidala Royal Elegance Figure

Phantom Menace Queen Amidala Royal Elegance Figure

In 1999, the Phantom Menace action figure line was released with characters from Star Wars, the Phantom Menace, Episode I movie. A very innovative aspect of modern technology was adding a small Comm Tech Chip to the carded figures. One had to purchase a Chip Reader to listen to several lines of the characters from the movie by slowly sliding the chip across a Chip Reader. The Chip also acts as a base for the figures. The Power of the Jedi line of figures also introduced several characters from the movie as well as characters not produced before.

One of the most interesting aspects of the Queen Amidala character was that in almost all of the various scenes of the films, she wore different outfits.  She is based on the Queen Amidala Theed ction figure from the Power of the Jedi line of action figures.

In all the galaxy there are few who can fly and shoot like Dash Rendar. Many years ago, as a cadet at the Imperial Acadmey, he continually impressed his superiors with the ability to push vessels beyond their usual limits, executing maneuvers his ships were never meant to perform. He held great promise as a future Imperial officer until a freight vessel piloted by his brother malfunctioned and crashed on Coruscant, destroying a private museum that housed many of the Emperor's treasures. Though the mishap was not the pilot's fault, the Emperor banished Rendar's family and had Dash expelled from the academy.

Given his bold disregard for regulation and arrogant confidence, it is doubtful that Dash would have fit in well within the ranks of the Empire anyway. He never hesitates to boast of his skills as an expert pilot and gunner. After his dismissal from the academy, he began a career as a thief and gambler, but soon discovered that his exceptional flying skills were a great asset in the smuggling business. He quickly became very successful, making his services expensive but guaranteed for the right price.

Rendar flew a snowspeeder as a mercenary during the Battle of Hoth, and Princess Leia later hired him to protect Luke Skywalker from the dark Prince Xizor's ruthless bounty hunters. He played a significant role in the effort to overcome Xizor by destroying numerous Black Sun starships with his state of the art Outrider starfighter. With Rendar at the helm, the vessel is one of the quickest and most fearsome fighting machines in the galaxy.

Card Description:

The Empire's victory in the Battle of Hoth has brought hard times for the Rebel Alliance. Han Solo has been frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader, and two huge bounties have been placed on the head of Luke Skywalker. The Emperor wants him alive, but Prince Xizor , underlord of the most powerful criminal organization in the galaxy, wants him dead. Worse still is that the diabolical Xizor is holding Princess Leia Organa prisoner in his castle on the Imperial Center of Coruscant. this is a tactical maeuver, part of a larger master plan to lure Luke Skywalker into his castle where he can be easily eliminated -- the key step in Xizor's plan to replace Darth Vader at the Emperor's side.

Unaware of this danger, the young Jedi and Lando Calrissian sneak into Imperial City hoping to rescue Leia. Simplylaying foot on Coruscant is a dangerous act for these two: high on the Empire's list of most-wanted outlaws, they could easily be recognized and captured -- or assassinated. Disguising themselves as beggars, they "borrow" the armored uniforms from a pair of elite Coruscant stormtroopers. These troopers are some of the Empire's finest, selected as home guards for the wealthiest and most cultured city in the galaxy. Joining forces with Chewbacca and Dash Rendar, Skywalker and Calrissian attempt to infiltrate Xizor's nearly impenetrable stronghold and rescue the princess.

Card Description:

After Han Solo was captured by Boba Fett, several attempts were made on Luke Skywalker's life which threatened the future of the Rebellion. Princess Leia Organa and Chewbacca sought to protect the young Jedi, and traveled to Coruscant to follow up leads surrounding these attempts. They hoped to draw from the extreme intelligence gathering network of the Black Sun, a criminal organization whose operations extended to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Because Coruscant is the homeworld of the Empire- a dangerous place for any member of the Rebel Alliance- Leia disguised herself as the renowned Ubesian bounty hunter Boushh.

Boushh's helmet concealed her entire face while a built-in voxscrambler altered her voice to resemble that of an Ubesian; a false I.D. and code taken from Black Sun completed her disguise and provided a safe level of anonymity. Little did she know that Prince Xizor, Underlord of Black Sun, was behind the murder attempts on Skywalker, and had his sights set on Leia as well.

Leia would later use the Boushh disguise during an attempt to rescue Han Solo, still frozen in carbonite from Jabba the Hutt's palace. Though the rescue failed and she became Jabba's prisoner, Leia would play a crucial role in the battle over the Great Pit of Carkoon. There, she destroyed Jabba and helped Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca to liberate Han Solo from Jabba's clutches.
