The Freeze Frame Action Slides were first available with the Green Carded Star Wars Power of the Force Action Figures released in January, 1998. One had to first open them up in order to obtain them. They were a total of 59 made. A seperate action Slide Holder was available free by mailing in one UPC symbol, the receipt and $2.00 for postage and handling. The offer expired January 31, 1999. The Freeze Frame Slide Viewer was designed
to look like Luke Skywalkers Macrobinoculars as seen in Star Wars,
Empire Strikes Back, Episode V. It was white in color. The two AA
batteries that were required to operate it were not included. The
carded action figures of Lobot and Chewbacca (Boushh's Prisoner) had
the offer for the Viewer on the back of the cards. This is real fun item for children to play with and/or recreate scenes from the movies. It came with two exclusive slides: Captain Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and the instruction sheet. One had to look through it, press a slide into a slot provided and a large image backlit by the internal light would show the scene on the slide. This item was available also by mailing in one UPC symbol, the receipt and $5.99 for shipping and handling. The mail away offer also expired on January 31, 1999. I have included a complete list of all of
the Freeze Frame Action Slides and also a brief description of 37
random chosen ones from the list. This will save one valuable time if
you are on the look out for these items on ebay. I have yet to see a
more comprehensive list elsewhere. Most of the information, I am
sharing is from my own personal website. Feel free to utilize this
