Star Wars miniatures are small character representations of figures that one uses in a game where the object of the game is to ultimately win. This Blog is a checklist of all of the mini's as they are fondly called by collectors.

hey yo, Oz, i am seeing some really high prices on this latest line of minis. can they be correct on the ebay searches? are people just pumping up the prices since this is the latest release from Wizards of the Coast? send me a shout before i over spend,.

Paul, just wait until the prices come down. This is a new line and there is a lot of hype on it as usual. There are some VR ones in the line of all 60 which were released.
If you shop around, there are some really great deals out there. Just one item to consider is the fact that some sellers jack up the price and then drop off 50%, so what really is going on is that you are paying the same price.

well, is see that you added #59 out of 60 and #60 out of 60. at last the list is complete. you are right on the money about the hype. i have gone and visited some off ebay forums where some trade, buy and sell, talk about the amount of sellers versus buyers? there is a lot of action. i wonder if ebay had some kind of market place where one could list and item and the buyers could haggle over it with out actually placing a bid?

you see this way, it would be fort of like some type of dutch auction and cross over between the want it now boards. but the members would not be obligated to purchase the item until the seller sent them a offer which could of course be counter offered.

i know that this sound like it is a bit silly but i am curious as to what your thoughts are on the matter?

Yes Paul, I finally added the last ones. Yes, there will be hype and things will smooth down after the holidays. I had heard that Alliance & Empire and The Force Unleashed were the two lines of minis to be released. I am not sure if there will be any more lines released. I would guess a strong "Yes!" though.

You bring up a interesting point about trading. I used to trade BSA patches in the past and money was the ultimate mediator. If you had two vintage Darth Vader's with a value of let us say for example: $20.00 each and I had two vintage Obi-Wan Kenobi's worthm $10.00 each, well, the difference would be $20.00.

So, we could do a two for two trade with you receiving $20.00 to make up the difference. This would present a problem for those who could not trade though or want to since they just want to sell. Craigslist is more of a barter site than ebay.
This site is a venue but people do tend to want to trade.

I think when Pierre first started ebay as auction watch, members first started trading Pez Head toys. Then he started collecting money for listing fee's and the rest is history. The E in ebay is for electronic and the bay is from the "bay area" where I grew up.

Reading what you posted above, there would have to be a faster time limit for the offers and the counter offers and it could work. Who knows, you could always start your own site but who really has time to?
