Wow.

I had the strangest round of hatemails from amiga fanboys today. The first one assails me telling me 'that's not an amiga card'. Funny, it came out of an Amiga. Oh well, I ignored him. He wrote again, more insistantly, and angry. I replied that he could kiss my native american and german backside.

A day later and I've got 7 of his buddies emailing me pointless hatemail through ebay. "this is not a zorro card, not this, not that.. etc." All in different angry tones. One was actually polite, but still dead wrong. The card came out of an Amiga. I never said it was this or that, and never even mentioned zorro. It's an ISA card. Duh.

Wikipedia is pretty clear that Amigas have ISA slots. The 4000 has 4 of them. I've owned one before. Wiki is correct. I'm not sure what sort of crack the fanboys smoke these days but this "posse" was laughable, and illegal. I reported each of them to Ebay for harrassment.

Harrassment is against the TOS for Ebay.

Having an ISA Amiga card is not against the TOS.

So, guess who is wrong? I updated my ad not to correct it, but to include the wiki reference and state all the more firmly that yes, this card can be used in an Amiga.

And, I made fun of them. Why not. I do not name names, but if any of them do NOT live in mom's basement, I'd be surprised. Who has the time to be angry over such a stupid thing? And so totally wrong?

Someone who has nothing better to do. That's who.

Sad that Ebay has to deal with the self-appointed police like craigslist suffers harshly from. Craigslist is actually unusable if someone decides to flag your listings. At least Ebay doesn't have such a questionable method of dealing with complaints.
