Parents Still Chipper in Snowbound Buffalo ...Posted Oct-13-06 16:26:11 PDT My parents got 18 inches of snow and they are currently without power, but still chipper. There are hot wires outside their house, so they're staying indoors. Pop says it's "at least 60" in the house and he has his "longjohns" on. He tried to use the snowblower, but the snow was so wet he couldn't use the snowblower. He's 81, so we took his snow shovel away a few years ago. I invited them to Rochester--a mere 25 miles away where we didn't even get more than a few flakes of snow, but they said no because the roads are treacherous.
I sure hope I don't end up with a new brother or sister nine months from now. |
