Most Recent Posts coin feverPosted Oct-24-06 07:44:24 PDT It seems there is a feeding frenzy in today's coin and currency market, as many more collectors have joined the ranks. I have noticed there is a lot of people who are driving prices for certain items through the roof, so it is getting harder to get the 'good stuff'. As for me, I'm a long time collector/numistmatist who just loves the hobby, and of course, vintage and early American money. When I sell, I always try to be fair, and I treat others the way I like to be treated - with respect. When I buy, I pay right away, as if I walked into a coin store and made a purchase. If I can't afford it, I don't bid, although that gets tough at times! I'm only saying this because there seems to be a breakdown in the relationships between buyers and sellers, and it makes it harder for everyone. Also, watch out for the fakes - they are out there, and some people have no morals. I would never sell a fake, and have only been burnt once on the buying end, and it still stings! All I can say is, beware of out-of-country sellers! That's enough ranting for one day. If anyone wants to respond or ask me anything, feel free. |
