Katie's (Somewhat) Healthy eBay Addiction

So this comes with the territory!

Wow, I guess that this comes with the territory! I have sold 22 items on eBay now. (I feel accomplished!) So, about every dozen items one has a problem. The first - the buyer didn't like her item. We resolved it. Now, someone "accidentally" purchased something that was ending in 1/2 an hour, so I had to open a dispute on it, and now I'm going through that whole 'unpaid item dispute' process so it can be resolved and then I can relist it and get a credit, etc. etc.

I just want to know - how do you accidentally purchase something? Is that code for "I purchased it and then found a better deal"? Just wondering. Anyway, it's a bummer, you get all excited that something sold - and then the buyer emails you and says "I made a mistake"? Ugh! It's a $7 item, just suck it up and pay it. But that's just me!! I hope that this all gets resolved soon and I don't have many more problems selling! And I will give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she DID make a mistake. But -- I think it says a lot about our society. Last night I was at Cheesecake Factory and someone had to complain about their food to get a free meal - but the guy still ate the whole thing. If it was so bad why did you want a free meal? That is just the world we live in, I guess.

Understand! So far, our biggest "problem" has been people asking us to relist something they missed, and then missing it again! They have to wait until the last possible second to bid to get the cheapest price I guess. I didn't know an extra 25 cents could be such a hard thing to part with!! Oh well - I guess it's the fun of the auction too.

Good luck!

I have learned, not to relist a item.
I was doing that for awhile. Not once did those people that ask me to relist, ever bid or buy.

It was costing me money to do these request. I don't think many understand. We still have to pay fees, if a item does not sell.

So with me now, Once something is done in auction or store, it is done.

Yes. It's a bummer. I have had one I didn't mean to push the bid button and one I have to leave the country so I can't pay you.

You're right! I want cute smileys.

Yeah, sometimes it's like - why do I bother. Buyers don't realize what this does to us! I know why I DO it... but.. you know!
