Most Recent Posts Happy Resolution!Posted Mar-13-08 17:37:44 PDT Well, at least I hope it is a happy resolution !!! If you read the recent blog titled "I don't understand", I wanted to update you and let you know we've reached a resolution! The buyer has finally agreed to pay the shipping as indicated in the auction! I will carefully and quickly ship the item as soon as the funds clear. Thank you all very much for the advice. I appreciate it. We're still preparing for our upcoming move. It is exciting to be downsizing, cleaning out closets filled with collectibles, items we've saved, diy projects, our library of books and simply going room by room deciding what goes to a new home and what goes with us. I'm still listing books and still have more that will be listed next week. Most are Christian or Business themed, and of course, there's a few DOG books. These used books are in good condition. I have a vintage can opener currently on auction and a great pasta maker! I also have some antique photographs, tintypes and photo cards. There's a lot of miscellaneous items too including elephant figurines, an antique metal cabinet, antique chest of drawers and some other pieces of antique furniture. This huge online moving sale may just have that item you've been looking for so check it out! Thanks! ~Trina Enjoying the SnowPosted Mar-09-08 11:05:35 PDT Actually, I'm enjoying the warmth and comfort of being inside and not having to go anywhere. I do bundle up and go out with Nedd. He is really quick with his business during this kind of weather. I've had plenty of time to EBAY all weekend. I've gone through about half of our books. So, we're having a huge book sale this week. TODAY, my auction ends for the McCoy Pottery - Cookie Jar, the Vintage Watering Can and some Vintage Toys. I have about 50 auctions that end today! This is the first time I've ever had this many things listed. It's fun, exciting, addictive and I'm making progress as we prepare to MOVE! I'm hoping the snow melts so I can get out Monday and go to the post office! Currently, we have a 5' drift in front of the garage! ~Trina I don't understand ...Posted Mar-08-08 09:12:37 PST Admittedly, I'm fairly a newcomer to ebay. Yes, I've had my account since 2002. I've bought and sold. I've never done the volume that I have started doing since I'm having our "moving sale" online over the next several months. I'm also opening my DOG store! Anyway, I'm really puzzled, confused, frustrated ... and I just don't understand. I try to do a good job with my descriptions. I attempt to be reasonable with shipping. It is expensive. I have decided to offer local pick up and to accept all kinds of payment to be able to provide excellent customer service. However, I feel like I'm getting the bad end of this. I recently sold a product. The buyer selected to pay with an e-check. I'm waiting for it to clear. In the meantime, the buyer submitted the total for the item and did not include shipping. I contacted the buyer and was informed that I had two options on my invoice. I explained that one option was shipping and the other was local pick up. This is where it stands right now. I offered to mutually agree to not go through with the auction since there was a "misunderstanding" about shipping. I offered to take the item to the post office, get the actual shipping amount and let buyer pay the actual shipping amount. I offered to refund the amount paid and let the buyer pay the correct amount. I offered to keep the amount paid and let the buyer pay the additional shipping. I haven't heard back from the buyer yet. I'm doing everything possible in my humble opinion to serve the customer. I can't eat shipping!!! The buyer is at a place on the opposite side of the US! After this experience, I did revise any item possible and take out the local pick up option. I set up my template to read Ask About Local Pick up in my description for future auctions. I'm open to any opinions, suggestions, recommendations, advice, etc! Thanks, Trina Used BOOK Sale ...Posted Mar-07-08 10:13:50 PST Updated Mar-07-08 10:15:10 PST It seems like my current auctions for the next several weeks will have a lot of used books. There's paperbacks and hardcover books on an assortment of topics including Christianity, Marketing, Business and Humor. There's a huge variety and a huge number of used books. There's a few books that are noted LIKE NEW which means it is in gift giving condition! However, most of the books for sale are listed as gently used books! (I have even more auctions that will be starting over the next few days as I add more and more Used Books!) If there's an avid reader you know or love, stop by and see if there's a used book to add to the library! ~Trina HUGE Downsizing Sale, Moving Sale, Online Sale - Collectibles, Antiques, Vintage Toys, Precious Moments, McCoy Cookie Jar and lots morePosted Mar-06-08 08:59:41 PST I've had an ebay account since 2002 & I've bought & sold a few great finds. This time, we're moving & we're downsizing & I'm organizing room by room, shelf by shelf & box by box. I'm having an online sale over the next couple of months. This time, it's not just dog products! We'll get to dog products in a few months after the move. This time, it is large items, small items and everything inbetween. This week, there's a McCoy Cookie Jar, Precious Moments, Vintage Toys, Books, Movies and so much more. So, instead of the making stacks and tagging items for the traditional garage sale, I'm posting new items each week as I get them prepared.
