Nother Day but No Dollar! Where's the day gone?!

Hi everyone!
It's been a cold dreary day here. Wind, rain and near freezing temps. Not supposed to get any better the next day or so. At least it isn't snowing or sleeting!! Glad I'm not upstate New York!
Got some new items listed today. Have a TON of comic books brought in. All at least 10 to 20 or so years old. Most in very nice condition with a lot that are boarded and bagged for protection. Sure would like to sell these at a decent price for my consignor. Needless to say, there are so many that I can only do a few at a time along with the other stuff I need to list to sell so if you're into comic books, keep checking back cause there will be new ones just about every day or so. Lot of them I've never even heard of but then I don't read comic books.
Some really nice McKee Jadite dishes will be ending tomorrow. These are very nice old dishes. Check out the REALLY OLD 4 pieces of Haviland Limoges China ending tomorrow. I did some research and these are over 120 years old. I bout fell over when I saw the dates listed for the stamps on the bottoms of these - 1880's - WOW! No one is paying attention to them so guess there aren't enough left around for anyone to collect them.
Got my store up and running but it still needs a lot of work. I will be putting new items in there as I can. Mostly antiques and other treasures I find at auctions, garage sales and such. You can check it out at www.topfloordeals.com. I'd appreciate any feedback on it. Thanks for reading this and have a nice evening. I'll try to post again tomorrow.

OLD COMIC BOOKS!! McKEE JADITE GLASS, Precious Moments & MORE!!

Just received a couple of large boxes full of vintage comic books in very good to mint condition. Most are bagged and boarded. These are from the early 70's on up. Lots of underground comics as well as Marvel, DC and more! These will be listed on my site over the next several weeks and maybe even months a few every day or so till I get them all done. If you know any D&D people (dungeons & dragons) I have some of the original manuals that will be going on in the near future also.
Also received another nice load of McKee Laurel Jadite dishes. This time I got a large vegetable serving bowl and a footed cream and sugar to match. These are all in near mint condition so check them out as well.
Several Precious Moments figurines have come in to list as well. Very, very nice items.
Another consignor has closed her small cafe and brought in the cake plates and such that she displayed her cakes and all in. She was a little upset because the "prettiest" cake plate arrived with a small chip on the edge (it must have bumped one of the others in transit) but it's still a very pretty item so I will list it anyway. The chip isn't all that noticable and it may be just what someone is looking for.
Lots of goodies with very good prices so CHECK MY LISTINGS! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL FIND THERE NEXT!! Even I don't  know what will be coming through the door to list next.

AAAAAAAAAGH!!! So much for next day delivery!!!

I am sooo frustrated!! I ordered toner from Staples online for my printer last Tuesday. It's usually next day delivery but they promised to have it here by Thursday the 18th. Nope! Got an automated call early Friday morning that said to press 1 if I would accept my shipment to be delivered the next business day. Since it was due Thursday, I assumed it would come Friday (next day, right?). Wrong again. Meanwhile Thursday noon, I ran out of toner and I'm dead in the water so far as being able to get any work done, ebay or otherwise. So spent all weekend with listing and catching up on some research. This morning rolls around and the truck arrives. The man has all the paperwork but my box was not on the truck. He spent quite awhile searching and it simply wasn't on the truck. We had to give him a push cause he also got stuck in the snow and ice still sitting from last weekend. I talked to them online about it and they apologized and offered a $20 coupon for my trouble. About 6 they call and said the package had been found and would be here in the morning. Meanwhile, I've got about 18 ebay orders waiting on postage, about 250 postcards for an upcoming auction to put out and in the mail and a dozen or more ads for the Tulsa phonebook to print out and send for proofing. It will take me days if not a whole week to get back on track. I feel very stressed!!
But, Hey!! The sun came out today and it even melted just a tiny bit. The town actually ran a backhoe scoop down the street to make it more passable by breaking up the ice somewhat.
Check out my listings, put a few more things on today. Some quite unusual.
Thanks for "listening" to my troubles.... I feel better now!

New things added today. Check it out!!!

Hey, added a few more things today. Anyone collect stamps, watches or hat / lapel pins? Put some on today. Plus a real nice heavy brass planter. Yesterday evening added a beautiful large Fostoria American Vase. It would look so beautiful with a dozen roses for Valentine's Day to that someone special!!
We didn't get any more snow here in central Oklahoma like predicted. Just rain mixed with sleet. Still have several inches of snow left over from last weekend. It was cold and cloudy all day so nothing really melted off. Sure will be glad when things get back to normal around here!

Lots of great inspirational & Christian VHS tapes in my listings

Hey, if you know anyone who likes or needs inspirational tapes, I just listed almost a dozen VHS tapes, mostly tapes produced by the Trinity Broadcasting Network out of California. These are Christian tapes. Also got other VHS movies. The Christian tapes were brought to me by a customer. The movies are from my library. We're going to DVDs, so I'm selling off my huge library of movies little by little. As I go, I'm getting rid of better and better ones. Some I really hate to part with. If you like books and movies, check out my listings on half.com as I've got well over 100 items listed and add a few new ones each week. Those listings are also under dotserve as the seller.

Break in the weather but bracing for weekend!!

Hi Everyone. Temp in central OK finally got up to mid 30's and turned most the ice to slush. You actually leave footprints now. They are still predicting 4-8 inches of snow starting tomorrow night. Both my husband and I have been fighting off colds all week. Not fun. Don't know why or what happened but our water was off all over the neighborhood for about 2 hours this afternoon. I keep several sealed gallons of water in my pantry in case of emergency so I wasn't too worried.  Ran to the store and stocked up for the weekend. No school again tomorrow. Daughter says...There goes spring break. No school for a solid week. Don't know what they are planning to do to make up the days. If it snows like they predict, may be no school on Monday either.
Got some things listed today. Relisted some things that didn't sell earlier in the month. Will have some nice glass ending on Monday. My eBay sure has slowed down. Anyone else notice sales are off? Oh, well, was fun while it lasted.

Still COLD with no end in sight!!

Yesterday I talked about how bad the weather got here since last weekend. It hasn't warmed up one bit. Mentioned having to use and ax to break through the ice to make a trail so I could get my truck out and go to the Post office to mail eBay packages. Someone mentioned to print postage out online and let the postman pick up my packages. Oh, how nice that would be.
I have been using PayPal's feature to print my labels and postage for quite some time now. Problem is, I don't have a mail man to pick up my packages. This little town has a small post office but the post office refuses to hire a letter carrier for the residents who live within the city limits and not on a main road that joins a rural route. You are forced to rent a po box in order to receive your mail. If you dare to have it addressed to your physical address (which we do have for 911 purposes) it will be sent back to the sender. The postmaster even has a sign up in the post office saying "ALL MAIL ADDRESSED TO A STREET ADDRESS WILL BE RETURNED TO THE SENDER. PLEASE BE SURE TO SPECIFY YOUR PO BOX NUMBER."
This is a real bummer as it makes it impossible for me to get a PayPal Debit card. I've called and talked to them about it but they just say, "Sorry, it's our policy."
I have to drive 10 miles to the next town with a decent size post office to mail my packages that go out of the country because this one has to figure and do everything by hand. They have a computer but it's on a modem and takes forever to get anything done if at all.
I use a Macintosh computer because my business is graphic arts and doing phone book yellow page ads, etc.  PayPal and the USPS program for printing postage and such for overseas packages is not compatible with the Macintosh and will only work with Windows machines so that also leaves me out in the cold. The couple of times I've tried, everything just locked up on me.
Oh, well, I'm hanging in there. It's still cold. We had a few snow flurries and they are predicting 3-4 inches of snow this weekend. Hasn't been any school here 3 days and probably not tomorrow or Friday either. My auction for tomorrow night got canceled due to weather.
Anyone interested in old road maps? Got some nice old maps listed today. These are from an estate sale.
Everyone keep warm. Guess I rambled a little too much tonight. Thanks for listening, dotserve
