Doyle Carver -- Doylesee

      I am an iron sculptor and enjoy making line sculpture and found object art featuring fishes, animals, western themes, goofy and offbeat and abstract.  I was lucky enough to be picked to do a spot of HGTVs "That's Clever".   I have a copy of it on my website if you want to see it.   It has been a great ride these last several years and I'm blessed with a little success.

  I also do a lot of small fabricating in my shop from trailers to hand made rebar benders.  This place started out as a mechanic shop and that is how I made my living for many years.   I am fortunate in that I can do about what I want here due to low overhead and frugalness.  (Is that a word?)

     Art, while fun and fulfilling,  is a tough business and can be  difficult to make a living doing it.  That's why I started selling  these great little aluminum can crushers.  I figured if I am going to the Post Office anyway why not carry several packages instead of just one or two.  I now sell 6 kinds of  the best in aluminum can crushers.  That has to make me the can crusher king, right?  LOL.   Plus it's the right thing to do environmentally and socially.

I next  picked up a cast iron line.  I  sell quite a bit of decorative western cast iron and fabricated steel crafts like horseshoe art and sheetmetal and wrought iron fish.  My iron art sales have been pretty good this last year and I only expect them to increase this next.

I also sell outdoor ashtrays now.  I smoked for many years and quit back in 1999.  So this way I get a little of my money back. :}

Finally I added an item that I have made in my shop for years.  That is the hand rebar benders or hicky bars.  I sell them to rebar and concrete workers in this area and started listing them in auctions.   They also work well for bending armature for sculptors.  Thanx to Ebay and my website they have been a mainstay for me in the summers.
