Want to make homemade oil for your authentic Berger Lampe?
Recipe:
Add 0.3 oz fragrance OIL, about 9 ml, (or 10 to 12 drops of your favorite essential oil) to a 16 oz. bottle of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. (Not 70% or 50%). There should be enough room to just add to the bottle. Be sure to label your creation!
Use the 91% alcohol (plain) to clean your wick and stone (soak overnight) between scents. Let dry.
If you add too much fragrance/essential oil, it may cause your lampe to smoke.
If you use paraffin based lamp oils, your house will quickly fill with smoke.
Fill only 2/3rd full.
Replace snuffer cap when lampe not in use.
Ebay sells replacement wicks for $5.00. Many sellers offer essential oils and fragrance oils. Refreshers oils are ok, but they are cut. Not as good as pure fragrance oil.
If you are interested in pure aromatherapy, essential oils is the way to go.
