Excerpt from My Prayer Book, Happiness in Goodness by Father Lasance, 1908. 

This little prayer book was given to my mother in 1944 and she in turn gave it to me when I was 12 years old.  Not only is it a treasure to me because it once belonged to my mother, but because it 'is' a treasury of such lovely inspiration on so many subjects relating to our everyday lives; be it 100 years ago, or today.

BE AT PEACE

"Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and everyday.  Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.  Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations."
