GET PAID TO SURF THE WEB - NO LIE!

agloco - Getting Paid To Surf The Web

WHAT A CONCEPT! Getting  paid to surf the Web!

AGLOCO is the first Internet based economic network, which enables you as a Member to ‘Get your share of the internet.’ Advertisers, search companies, online merchants and other businesses currently pay lots of companies to deliver people like you to them to get your attention and sell goods. With AGLOCO they will be paying YOU.

AGLOCO is also a global community of Internet users whose active Members can be paid for all their online activity. By downloading their proprietary Viewbar™ technology, members benefit from engaging yet unobtrusive content tailored to their interests. AGLOCO also pays its members to refer their friends to the community (and for those friends to refer more friends through four levels of extended referrals.)

Why It Works

AGLOCO works because the network effects are self perpetuating. It gets stronger as it gets bigger. With more members and stronger cash flows, the profits that the members share in increase – and this draws in more users and hence stronger cash flows. The incentive to join early and tell many friends is big, as early members who help build the network stand to benefit the most (similar to nearly all start-ups, where the early employees tend to share disproportionately in the success of the company).

As AGLOCO grows, the economic incentive continues to grow as it is able to offer more and more value for its members. Unlike AllAdvantage.com which incurred incremental costs for each additional member-hour, AGLOCO generates positive free cash flow from each additional member-hour and has virtually no incremental cash expenses for additional use of the Viewbar. AGLOCO will have standard operating costs (site maintenance, bandwidth, insurance, telephones, office space, sales and administration etc.), but like Google these costs should be very low compared to the revenue Members generate.

IMAGE EDITING EASIER THAN PHOTOSHOP!

IMAGE EDITING MADE SIMPLE WITH WIREDNESS

I LOVE SIMPLE! As you know,  I am a  fan and regular reader of Alister Cameron's blog.

He did a story last  week about WIREDNESSWIREDNESS is a new FREE online image editor.

It's like a super lightweight version of PhotoShop that's easy to use, as 1-2-3!  You upload a photo,
crop it, resize it, add text, whatever. Save it and you're done! You can save it your PC or they offer 2
image housing sources - ImageShack or GlowPhoto! It's that easy.
PhotoShop is overwhelming, I think. And this gives you all of the basics. And it's FREE!

What is Happiness anyway?

WHAT IS HAPPINESS ANYWAY?

And how do you define it?

I came across a site the other day called THE HAPPY GUY.

"Finding happiness is like finding yourself. You don't find happiness, you make happiness. You choose
happiness. Self-actualization is a process of discovering who you are, who you want to be and paving the way
to happiness by doing what brings YOU the most meaning and contentment to your life over the long run."

This definition of happiness by David Leonhardt, The Happy Guy

Happiness is contagious...when you reflect happiness, then all others around you catch the happy
bug and are happy, too.

This definition of happiness by author Jennifer Leese

A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain
set of attitudes.

This happiness quote by Hugh Downs

Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.
This happiness definition by Aristotle

Happiness comes only from appreciating what you have right now. You can even be happy by
appreciating your troubles because they are helping to build your character.

This quote on happiness by Harriet Meyerson

Happiness is not merely a life lived by accumulating moments of pleasure. On the contrary, happiness is a long lasting enduring enjoyment of life, it is being in love with living. It is your reward for achieving a good character and personal
rational values in life. Some important values are a productive career, romance, friendship and hobbies.
This happiness quote by Dr. Ellen Kenner.

The greatest part of our happiness depends on our dispositions, not our circumstances.
This happy thought by Martha Washington.

Happiness... is not a destination: it is a manner of traveling. Happiness is not an end in itself. It is a by-product
of working, playing, loving and living.

This happy thought by Haim Ginott.

The Truth about RSS and Why It's A Good Thing!

THE TRUTH ABOUT RSS AND WHY IT"S GOOD FOR YOU!

We talked about RSS feeds a while back, but I wanted to revisit it briefly today.

I was at a friends house last night and I walked in on him, checking his various favorite blogs, one at a time. A couple of the blogs had no new posts since he was there last. I asked him why he wasn't using
an RSS reader and he said it was too much work! WRONG!

Only about 15-20% of Internet users take advantage of RSS readers! RSS allows you to customize your use of the web! I like to think of it as reading all my favorite magazines, when I want to. They just pile up, until I have time to get there. It's like fast forwarding thru commercials with TIVO! It saves me time!

In my RSS reader, I have about 15 blog feeds. I open my reader every Friday or Saturday and scan all my favorite blogs, and read what I want. You can check your reader whenever you want, as often as you want.  If there's nothing new, there's nothing new. This is a huge time saver! Can you imagine if I went
to all 15 of my favorite blogs, every day, and maybe half of them had new postings? And the others had nothing new!

As a blogger, you want to clearly offer your reader the option of subscribing by RSS  OR E-MAIL. As a blog reader, you want to take full advantage of RSS! Once this concept really catches on, the sky is the limit!

There are sooooooo many reasons and ways to use to RSS feeds! CHECK THEM OUT! And it's very easy to take the RSS url of your favorite blog and  import that url to your favorite RSS reader!

Bloggers Are A Lot Like Pigeons

So I'm sure many of you read the title and thought, "Where is he going to go with this one?"

Okay, I agree it sounds corny, but it is amazing how your mind frames things early on a cold, wet Midwest winter morning walking to the train station (remember, a perfect morning involves staying in my sweats, not leaving the house, working on the computer). Now granted, I do hope most of us are potty trained better, have a more permanent residence and a sharper mind when it comes to avoiding traffic, but stay with me and read on.

Both bloggers and pigeons are:

1. Vastly colorful and individual. The flock of pigeons that served as my inspiration reminded me of how unique each one was physically. At a glance they may appear similar when you see a flock together as a tapestry, yet, it is remarkable how distinct the markings are to each bird. Just like our blogs; each possesses personal font-image-layout-color preferences, variances and nuances specific to distinguish us.

2. Tend to bobble, hunt and peck. I don't know about you, but I feel I resemble a pigeon as I hunt and peck across the keyboard with my head bobbling most the day! It's crazy too how their always pecking at something they can see on the ground, or think they can see, and I can't see it! Do we do that?

3. Friendly and respectful. Pigeons and bloggers are a genuinely friendly, communal group. Even when pigeons are being fed they are respectful to one another as they go in for their share--unlike seagulls. Granted, every now and then, one in the group gets a little "randy" and starts climbing on the other, but we know the motivation behind that behavior. Overall, they get along tremendously.

4. Very vocal. Ever notice how much cooing goes on-especially when they congregate? I am amazed everyday as I sit with my feed reader at the wealth of intellect and insight shared daily amongst us all! Maybe that's why pigeons huddle too, because they have so much to share with one another!

5. Free to travel. Well, bloggers can travel anywhere Wi-Fi to blog, but isn't that almost the same today as having wings? What a beautiful thing to no longer be bound to a brick and mortar model and be able to blog from the beach (its really funny here in Chicago along lakeshore beaches we have both pigeons and gulls out in the sand!).

6. Helpful. Fellow worldwide bloggers I have been privileged to "meet" are some of the most amazing people I have ever had any fellowship with. Although most bloggers are willing to lend a hand with information or a project, if they have the time, don't forget that they might have to refuse or even not reply because of time constraints, heavy workloads, set principles, or a simple distaste with your lack of proper etiquette. You know what I am saying, don't get so consumed with your own needs that you behave or come across disrespectfully to your fellow bloggers. Even pigeons do get ruffled and fly away.

Let me know what you think!
