To those of you interested in my post card offerings, there will be a few gaps in my postings until after Thanksgiving. The holiday, of course, offers it's own time-consuming chores; in addition, I will be devoting some time to my favorite football team. There will be a smattering of cards for you to look at, and I'll be back at full speed after the 23rd.

How do I respond directly to a comment? So far, I've had to go to the poster's page and click on contact member. It would be much easier if I could reply directly to the comment. Am I missing something?

This afternoon, I'll be uploading postcards from Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, and Wisconsin. I'll also be uploading a nice, perhaps quaint, diary of a lady from Weymouth, Mass. She kept it in 1925 and made entries every day, most mundane but, all taken together, a charming look at the life of a housewife during this time. Included are a number of letters, invitations, announcements that she kept in the diary.

Tomorrow, there will be more cowboy cards, along with, most likely, an assortment of other topics.

I'm a painter and writer who began a book business to support the aforementioned [the picture you see of me is a self portrait in oil]. Over the past year, I have acquired quite a few vintage postcards which I have been offering on Ebay and which you folks have been kind enough to bid on.

However, why didn't someone tell me how much work is involved in postcards? Much more than in selling books. It's a labor intensive occupation and I have a new appreciation for those dealers I've seen at book shows.

I figure I have enough cards so that I'll be posting them on Ebay well into 2007. My original purchase has increased because I've been able to pick up some cards at various sales and am now keeping an eye out for postcards where, in the past, I paid no attention to them when I was out book hunting.
