Most Recent Posts Return To Oz propsPosted May-14-07 10:23:33 PDT We were lucky enough to work on the excellent if slightly weird Disney movie "Return To Oz" which was filmed here at Elstree Film Studios. We were the resident studio engineers. ("we" refers to myself and my father who owned the company!). Amongst the props we made for the movie were Tik-Tok himself, the tin man, the legs and wheels for the evil "Wheelies" and much more. Searching through the archives we found some great pieces which will be up for auction soon. There is the actual brass plate with inscription from Tik-Toks back, his "Army of Oz" badge, his Oz buttons, and we even found a gold Key to Oz. All of these except the backplate are gold plated! We also found a miniature Tik=Tok about 3 inches tall that has moving arms, made by the studio jeweller as a gift to the directors! Premieres on July 13th!Posted May-14-07 10:10:59 PDT We watched a lot of the shoot for this excellent new horror movie based on a Stephen King horror story. It was all filmed here at Elstree Film Studios, mainly in the George Lucas Stage opposite our offices. The story revolves around a mystical room numbered "1408" in the Dolphin Hotel in New York. John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson star. The set was incredible, the whole hotel room could be tipped and moved! We have some great pieces that were discarded after filming including lots of props from the actual room itself! But will anyone be brave enough to have the actual room 1408 telephone sitting in their bedroom? What if it rings :) Once we get permission to release some pieces they will be available on eBay, so mark our store as a favourite, or subscribe to our newsletter!
