Paypal's stance on disputes

1. Okay.... so after the dispute buyer sends back the item & provides a tracking number. After its arrival money is refunded. HUH! What's in the package? What's missing or replaced? Seller is stuck.

2. What if the buyer unexpectedly needs the cash? What if buyer damages the goods and now it's worthless? What if this fussy buyer finds, hey these are pre-owned anyway, a scratch and a dent no biggie but a reason.

I sell mostly laptops, that I recondition, and most likely they work and look just as described. Paypal can not see in reality a reasonable way to accomplish an impartial verdict nor witness whether there was an actual return of the actual item(s) then why try to litigate a dispute if can not uphold the circumstances. Stay out Paypal.
Think about it .... eBay and Paypal need more buyers than sellers - sellers sell more than one item on the average, so it looks just safe to come on an auction and bid.... just bid and everybody makes money, including them in a big way. Sellers stay out? Imagine if ebay won't have anything to sell? Just another UBID can become reality.

ID verification at eBay

Ebay should require CONFIRMED addresses and names like Paypal does. Sellers and buyers should have a tag attached to user's ID for being CONFIRMED or UNCONFIRMED. The rest is up to anyone to participate and engage with a seller or have the right to cancel a bidder. Simple!
