hair and staff and chosen chair

001-1.jpg picture by dianaelfen

002-3.jpg picture by dianaelfenhave chosen the chair my carpenter son built for me and put on socks and hair and eyebrows and jazzed up the staff  Now the rest of the coustume is still in my head.

the begining of his head

OK I tried to edit and lost my begining of the tutorial so here I hope again is the begining of the head showing the head armiture and the eyes baked in and  some of the head sculpted

014.jpg picture by dianaelfen

now the hand armiture using Jack Johnsons instructions covered with clay and the jester staff in the hand to see if it fits.  The staff is what inspired me to start the jester as I had made it quite a while back

some body sculpting

011.jpg picture by dianaelfen

put him together and the head can still be removed so that when done his head will be able to turn now he needs hair and a costume

off to design costume and give him hair

working on the body

I also needed to make small sleeves for the lower arm ...

009.jpg image by dianaelfen  now I am going to start to build the body stocking up starting with adding cotton batting and wire for upper leg

adding paperclay

now I put wire for the shoulders and upper arm.  the papeclay is now on the lower arm to the elbow and on the leg up to the knee.  Now I hope to build the ProSculpt creating the calfs and knee still deciding what if anything I will do with the lower arm.  002-2.jpg picture by dianaelfen

more on the feet

now here is a picture of the feet sculpted more and I will try for the first time to build up the calfs with paper clay ...I used rods to go into the arms attaching the hands in the tube. I wraped the tubes with floral paper to keep the clay in place ..
