Archive - February 2008 Perfect Photo ShootPosted Feb-20-08 09:17:23 PST I was finally able to do a photo shoot on Monday. The weather cooperated, and Krystal was perfect! I am in love with how the pictures turned out. Take a look at my auctions and tell me what you think. Early tomorrow morning Nick, Ruby and I are on our way to Vegas for the weekend. I'm so excited to shop, it feels like Christmas! Love, Shaunta www.face-the-strange.blogspot.com Awesome Men's VintagePosted Feb-17-08 07:01:03 PST The garage sale was a complete bust. But I stopped in our little local thrift store that supports disabled adults in our little Mountain Town, and I found seven amazing vintage men's shirts. Seriously cool! I especially love the Holsum graphic one. I rounded up by boy-o for the pictures, and I think they turned out really fun. How do you guys think the auctions turned out? I'd love to hear from you! Love, Shaunta I may be weirdPosted Feb-16-08 07:16:53 PST I lived in Las Vegas, in the heat, for so long that waking up to a cold, crisp morning with snow on the ground is like Christmas to me. I love it! I'm headed to a yard sale this morning. Someone's "Annual Winter Garage Sale." We have a definitely Yard Sale Season here, I think about Memorial Day to Labor Day. (Or is that the other way around? I always get confused, but you know what I mean!) So having one right now, in February is a special treat. New Name, New StartPosted Feb-15-08 19:18:36 PST I've decided to rename the store. KSA Vintage just doesn't have the ring that I want. KSA is mine and my husband's initials (Kevin and Shaunta Alburger.) I'm curious what you all think of the name Enigma Vintage. I decided to start a second store, Enigma Books, to make it easier to view each. I'm not sure how to link to a favorite seller here, but I'll see if I can figure it out so that you can see my books as well. I chose Enigma because it was the name of my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. It's been closed for a long time now, but when it was open it was like an oasis in the desert. Full of art and poetry and scrumptiousness. That's what I want Enigma Vintage to be. Plus Enigma means mystery, and I think that's fitting, too. So...let's hear it. What do you think of the new name, Enigma Vintage. Back in the SaddlePosted Feb-13-08 15:20:34 PST I'm so excited to be back again. I've missed you guys! We're all settled in our little Mountain Town and it's time to get back to work. I have a shopping trip planned to Las Vegas on the 21st, so expect a bunch of amazing things listed around the first. We've decided to add books to our listings, especially fun and funky vintage books. And vintage patterns, just because I love them. I found an amazing fur-collared coat today that reminded me of why I love doing this. I can't wait to offer it to you. |
