As you may have noticed I have not been running auctions lately. Dei Amoré was returned to the printer twice after having been rejected by the photographer. He went so far as to take another photo so we will see what happens with this one. Quality counts in art photography.

I have been working on a painting of poet Vachel Lindsay. The next one I will be starting will be of Harriet Tubman.

I finally have the Artist's Proofs ready on canvas for auction of this second portrait of Abraham Lincoln that I have done. I also have this print available on paper as well.

Just read my feedback to see what people are saying about my artwork! I just sold two paper giclée prints and they are much more affordable than the Canvas for a lot of folks.

In case you still want canvas though, which is very nice, I am going to post some more very soon.

It's finally time to start auctioning off the paper prints of my painting of Ron Paul, "Return of the Patriot." This is an excellent opportunity to get this image at a lower rate than the giclées on stretched-canvas. These prints are on high-quality paper suitable for matting and framing.

I work at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield Illinois where I portray the historical painter, Francis Carpenter, who painted the famous painting of Lincoln reading the Emancipation Proclamation to the Cabinet.

Yesterday, as you probably know, was his birthday and there were festivities happening at the museum including a Civil War brass band and not only Fritz Klien, one of the world's greatest Lincoln impersonators, but also a Frederick Douglas impersonator that I had never met before and who was quite good himself.

There is a lot of talk about how the next year is going to be the year of Lincoln leading up to the Centennial of his birth in 2009, so I am running more auctions of 18X24 giclée prints of my portrait of Lincoln, titled "Magnum Opus." If anyone should be interested in a larger size, they come in three size editions, 30" X 40" and 36" X 48" as well, just contact me at eted[at]thespectra[dot]net for more information on obtaining larger prints. I can run a 'buy-it-now' auction or you could just buy it from me directly.

"What a great way to spend my tax refund!" Truer words were never spoken. The first winning bidder of Artist's Proof 1 of 2 18X24 of my portrait of Ron Paul, "Return of the Patriot," spent her tax refund to not only comemorate Ron Paul and everything he has already accomplished for posterity, but she also contributed to the campaign by winning the auction.

Wow! A friend who is running for Delegate suggested I paint Ron Paul to commemorate him for posterity. With three sales so far in the last two weeks it is off to a good start. My short-term goal is to donate as much as the legal limit.
