Archive - August 2007 PHOTO DETAILS.Posted Aug-22-07 10:57:34 PDT Updated Aug-22-07 10:58:42 PDT I have had quite a few emails asking where the photo on the Top left corner of "MY WORLD" was taken. It is of course a view of the harbour at the village of PENNAN on the North East coast of Scotland midway between Fraserburgh and Macduff in Aberdeenshire. Pennan was made famous in the film LOCAL HERO starring BURT LANCASTER as the setting for the ficticious village "FERNNESS". SeashellsPosted Aug-08-07 09:26:29 PDT Updated Aug-09-07 13:52:09 PDT I have a great source of SEA SHELLS up here in the Norh East of Scotland. Mainly LIMPETS, WELKS, PERIWINKLES etc. These SHELLS are collected on local beaches, washed in fresh water and dried. They look lovely on decorated flower-pots, on Window Sills, Shop Window Displays, Play Group activities etc. With some imagination you can create some wonderful ornaments. The list is endless. Watch out on my eBay site every now and then as I have Shells on offer in mixed lots of Approx :- 1 kg. When requested I will list them also as a BUY-NOW.
