I’m composing this letter to ebay because my rank in visibility on searches was deceased based on falsified information or information completed by buyers who had or have no idea as to the effect they may have on an ebay sellers ranking when they are clicking on the stars. I sell gemstones. The average shipping cost for gemstones is 8.00 and the average second gemstone costs 3.00. My shipping rates were 3.00 and 1.00, but my rank with ebay was decreased because too many of my buyers erronously or inentionally clicked the stars and made my shipping fees appear that they were out of the normal range. My fees were out of the range, but in the BUYERS FAVOR.
Because of these factors that were not investigated by ebay, I want all my fees back for the items that I listed on UK and on ebay for the last week, because in addition to erronously decreasing my rank because of “HIGH SHIPPING RATES”, I was not informed that my listings would have no visibility. I wouldn’t have listed any items, nor would I have spent 5-6 hours changing my listings on SUNDAY to reflect international shipping.
I surveyed my customers that left the star feedback and I’m going to enclose their responses at the end of this note. The responses are all in my in box on ebay as well as my regular email address, twice over. They won’t disappear, no will I.
The clicking of the stars is random and not a reflection of the seller’s activities and interactions with the buyer.
The buyers are just clicking rather randomly and so your methodology of changing a person’s rank is COMPLETELY INCORRECT, IMPROPER AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED.
Additionally, the selling of gemstones is a very competitive business and a seller’s reputation can be easily and anomously ruined by the star method.
WITHOUT CHECKING THE ACCURACY OF THE RATING YOU ARE PERPETUATING THE DEFAMATORY INFORMATION THAT IS VERY LIKELY BEING ENTERED BY A SELLER’S COMPETITION.
I want the fees back. I will not stop with this note, if my ranking is not corrected.
I HOPE AFTER YOU READ THE RESPONES BELOW YOU WILL RE-EVALUATE YOR SYSTEM SO SELLERS REPUTATIONS ARE NOT COMPROMISED DUE TO COMPETITION OR LACK THE LACK OF UNDERSTANDING AS TO THE EFFECT OF THE STARS ON THE SELLERS RANKING AND YOU REALIZE THE RANDOMNESS OF THE SYSTEM YOUR COMPANY HAS PUT INTO PLACE.

I sent the following question to all the customers that left feed back for the last 16 days, which are the only days I sold for the month of June.

Ebay - Your proper attention to this matter is of the utmost importance. You system is incompetent and incorrect.
I want my fees back and ranking returned to the correct leve.
I will sue and publish this information in every single place possible if the situation is not corrected for myself and all the other ebay sellers who have fallen victim to the randomness of ranking the system based on the stars. And given that you might as well rank the ebay seller on the actual stars in the sky because it would be equivocal in the accuracy of the ranking utilizing the program you have put into place.
I expect to hear from your company in a very timely manner and that my listing fees be refunded.
I’ve lost the hours building the items and there will be no income to pay for the listings or compensate for my time.
I expect restitution for your errors, and every single eBay seller should also have restitution as well as have their ranking corrected because the star system is completely inaccurate without any research as to the actual shipping cost being charged, or time in which it was shipped, or communication.
One person left all 3’s????????????????? Reasonable, no, One all 4’s??????????????? Reasonable no.
Others won’t admit what they left, or don’t remember. I constantly leave all 5’s unless there was a problem. That is what all buyers should do, but look at the above information, re-evaluate system and correct the ranking system.
