Thanks in advance, Nick RSS FeedsPosted May-23-08 14:10:51 PDT This blog post is for you and thanks for reading To start with RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". RSS Feeds are a format of XML that is intended to share information in a condensed format (such as a title, description and link) or basically are a way to syndicate "teasers" of information on the web. There are RSS feed readers and apps that will diplay rss content as it is updated on websites to make a dynamically changing webpage based on content from other site. This can be very useful to the publisher of the info and the website displaying it. As far as an ebay seller, if you have an ebay store you can turn on the rss feeds option and the updated items you have for sale in the store are fed to google via RSS Feeds so that your items for sale will actually show up in google search results. If you title and description of your items are streamlined this can be BIG. Hope this help you all out, let me know if you have any questions by commenting below. The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. The initials "RSS" are used to refer to the following formats:
