In case you haven't heard- Google just bought YouTube for 1.65 BILLION DOLLARS! Chad Hurley and Steve Chen are former PayPal employees and the founders of YouTube! This site has only been really active for about a year. They are both in their 20's and you just have to watch their video announcement... Click here to watch the video... I love that! Does that not just say it all?! If they can do it, we all can!!! Apparently early on (in it's long 11 month lifespan) Sequoia Capitol came in and invested like $11 million. Roelof Botha, a partner of Sequoia Capitol was a previous CFO of PayPal... and I guess he was instrumental in making it happen. That's the quickest money they've ever seen! Incredible! Sarah |
