Most Recent Posts wowPosted Nov-30-06 14:00:37 PST Wow! It took me a while, but finally. Split that into 3, about $40 each. The one that matters the most is Jacqui Little, who was a member of the 2001 championship CyberRays team, but only switched teams shortly thereafter--if memory serves me right Michelle French was the other player in that deal. The WUSA didn't last long, but it was a nice niche to check out women's soccer. In effect, she was the only CyberRays player with a bobblehead--they never made one though at least 2 players plus one of the "mascots" (and a good guy I know personally) should have had one. I still think the game can sell, but really it's still a niche audience and the teams would have to be limited to a region instead of being far apart in the short term. That can be saved for the soccer boards. If I remember right, she tied the knot with DC goalie Nick Rimando! :-D I will fess--I will soon have 2 Siri Mullinix nodders. Make me an offer on that one. ;-) I'll throw in another one into the deal. Still, I'll take the Littles over Lilly anyday. UpdatePosted Nov-27-06 19:35:43 PST It's been a while since I'm been on here. Despite being busy, still drawing up plans for the web and a way of creating a "virtual museum". However, a lot of things keep happening. The whole idea, being, to put a collection on display very similar to how all the museums display their wares, and so forth. The mechanism, while still good for a small portfolio, got a bit too cumbersome especially since I keep adding items almost every time so something that only requires little editing (compared to laying out and loading bundles, but that's for a programmers site). I might have one part ready in time for the holidays, but it might be tweaked, time permitting. Meanwhile, hope you all had a good holiday, and best wishes for the forthcoming one.
A tip on adidas football (soccer) items...Posted Sep-12-06 20:50:38 PDT Updated Sep-12-06 20:51:15 PDT If the shirt tag is on the left sleeve--it's legit. OK, I didn't get the item here on ebay, but there is one for sale as of this post, and based on the picture it matches mine. However, I'm keeping mine. :-D
jerseysPosted Aug-29-06 01:52:04 PDT My emphasis has shifted slightly towards jerseys. For the past several weeks, I've been able to play catchup with a few shirts that I've been trying to get for some time. I go by a few simple rules: (1) They must be at least genuine merchandise. Design is very important. I steer clear from any bootlegs. (2) Europe tends to have a lot of fans who want to unload on "last year's" model. I might try to find a few in the USA but that's rare. (3) Used merchandise should not be priced more than the current model, or that with a tag. (4) If new look for where the tag is located. After that--I think I'm all caught up, save for one more but I might just look into one of the local stores for that. ;-) The "Jersey Project" is next on the list. The main goal (no pun intended) is to put the collectables online. (No, I'm keeping mine and even so, if I can find a gallery or person/group who can host--that's even better...) That's my thoughts. bobbleheads part 2Posted Jul-29-06 11:15:50 PDT Updated Jul-29-06 11:16:17 PDT If you're a bobblehead collector, you need to check this out... I recently saw a segment on G-Mag, which is the San Francisco Giants magazine show that airs on Fox Sports Bay Area on collectibles. Luckily, an article was posted online. If Harvey Hodgerney (as in How's Your Knee) could, I'd tell him to post his collection online too! :-) :-D Giants' visiting clubhouse manager's bobblehead collection over 300 Now, I've been so eager to tour the ballpark on an off day but if anyone does, you might get to see the collection. http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/sf/ballpark/tours.jsp |
