Most Recent Posts IntroPosted Nov-21-07 10:56:12 PST As the title says "fishing with lures" is going to be a blog about how to use the many various fishing lures available including high speed gamefishing lures, deep diving minnow style lures, surface popping lures, metal slices and jigs, freshwater lures and more. Basicaly the Fishing lure is an artificial fish attracting device with it's primary role to assist the fisher person in catching fish. Whether this be due to the fact that there is no suitable bait available or whether it is the desired fishing method. So in short "The fishing lure" is supposed to represent something which attracts the fish whether this be an existing inhabitant of the fishes environment or just millions of years of survival instincts coming into play. You will find that not all fishing lures even look like a bait fish or bug or other typical inhabitant of the environment a fish would consider part of the food chain. I have personaly made various styles of fishing lures from whatever materials were available at the time whether it be bits of feather or fur, multi coloured strands of cloth, silver foil along with softdrink and beer cans. And they all worked providing i cast the lures as often as possible and in the desired manner to suit the species or location being fished. There are so many different methods of using the various fishing lures that it would be absurd for me to sugest i know all of them however what i can assure you of is should you consider the following the next time you go to fish with lures it will increase your catch rate.
This is just a teaser of what is to come however considering i owned and operated 2 fishing charter businesses previously witnessing many thousands of fish hookups in bothe fresh and saltwater with all types of fishing lures i am confident i will b able to offer some advise if required. So please do not hesitate in blogging me with any question or maybe you would like to add your experiences also as i am sure we all agree that we can never learn enough about our favourite subject FISHING with Lures.
