Happy Hollidays from Cocoa Beach!

Hello all!  I don't have time to chat... have to get ready for work.  I just wanted to pop in and say Happy Hollidays to all of you!

Good Morning from Cocoa Beach

Hello from Cocoa Beach.  Jury duty has ended early.  Florence painted a paradise isle Mini Blind over the wkend in order to make sure it could be delivered by christmas.  She also has 2 special order ornaments to paint for one of our neighbors.

I have to ship that out this morning as well as a package of christmas goodies for a cousin in California.

We are all having a difficult time adjusting to me working outside the home.  The hardest adjustment so far is finding the time to get everything done.  That and remembering to take something out for dinner before I leave for work.

So what is new with everyone else?

good morning from cocoa beach

Hello everyone,

Florence has jury duty for the next ten days so things are going to be a bit hectic with painting.  I have been working 35 hours a wk at the new job so I haven't been on the blogs as often as I used to be.

Kids start their mid term exams on friday so the house has been full of extra credit projects in an attempt to bring up their grades.

Thats all my news, whats up with you?

Good Morning Everyone!

Hello and good morning  from a some what chilly cocoa beach.

I woke up this morning to 12 different questions regarding Mini Bind Murals.  I have been busy writing , writing, writing.

The last few days, Florence has been working on hand painting a mailbox and welcome matt to ship to Japan.  My brother and his new wife just moved into the house they had built over there.

She has also been working on 2 custom Vases, and 4 custom Mini Blind Murals.  These are all for neighborhood folks that have been ordering from us for years.

I have 2 packages to ship today as well as a price quote to work up for a potential customer in the Carolina's who wants 12 Mini Blind Murals .

So how has everyone else been doing?
Mary

Good Morning everyone today is Thursday December 7, 2006 and...

I hope everyone has a great day.

My back is in serious pain after working only 3 days.  Advil has become my best friend and I have to be in at 11:00 this morning.  Oh what fun.

The kids have a chorus concert tonight.  The director called last wk and told me to make sure I was there. (I have never missed a concert so I figure some things up)  He also said he wants to start a booster organization for the chorus and would like me to run for president.  I don't think I have the time.

I had to turn down a chance to be on the city board of directors for teen town a few months ago due to lack of time so I doubt I have the time for this.

Other then that I only have 1 package to ship out today.  The only sale so far this month.  How depressing.  Oh well... I kind of figured december would be a slow month for us.  Next year we will be more prepared.

Thats my plans for the day.  What are yours.

everyone is plugging and I feel left out so catch a sneak peak at one of our soon to be added designs.

I am not sure if it is completed or not.  We are thinking about adding a sailboat.  What do you think?

1 more positive feedback to go!

Good morning from a chilly 50 degree cocoa beach.

There are 10 sellers and 10 buyers I expect to be leaving feedback soon and I am sure at least 1 will leave the color changing feedback today.

I have to be at work at 11 so my time is short this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning from Cocoa Beach!

Today is my mothers birthday so

 Happy Birthday Florence!

We have had 2 weddings, a 16th birthday and a lot of out of company this year so she wanted to keep things simple for her birthday.  Since didn't want the usual big family gathering for her birthday,  last night one of my aunts took her out to dinner and tonight my step dad is taking her out to dinner.  All she wanted from me was the usual 2 poinsettias and a happy birthday mom.

Yesterday we took my daughter up to the school so she could video tape her drivers ed home work.  She had to show what to do when your car stalls on a train track.  She did well I guess, I mean she did everything correctly but the whole thing is kind of comical when you watch it on tape.  Everyone was acting kin of goofy.

Tonight my daughter gets baptized.  I didn't want to force a certain religion on my kids so I raised them with a knowledge of God and the bible and let them choose.  She has made her choice and I am pleased for her.  I think it means more if they choose rather then forcing it.

Well, thats all my exciting news for the day.  How about you guys?  Anything new and exciting in blogville?

photo isn't the best but here is my 1 yr old chihuahua playing dress up.

Her name is katrina, she was born during the hurricane, but we call her kiki.

I want to share cat pictures too!

Here is boots she is 9 years old.

need to do a little shameless plugging... only 42 people in my store in 2 days :-(

What are Mini Blind Murals and why would I want one are questions many people think to themselves but don't ask aloud.

What is a Mini Blind Mural?

A Mini Blind Mural is a landscape or seascape mural painted onto a Mini Blind.  We use acrylic paint and a combination of airbrush and handpainting techniques on one inch light filtering vinyl mini blinds.  Each one takes days to create and is custom made to fit your window.  No two will be exactly alike.

Why would I want one?

With Mini Blind Murals you don't have to sacrifice beauty for privacy.    If you are tired of staring at that plain white (or colored if that is what you have) blind in your window but like the privacy it offers then Mini Blind Murals is just what you need.  The painting actually insures greater privacy.

Turn on the lights in your home one night, close the blinds and take a walk outside.  You can see the silhoutes of everyone in the house and everything they are doing.  It is like living in a fish bowl.  With a Mini Blind Mural you can have all the lights on in the house and all you see from the from the outside is a muted reverse view of the painting.

Another good reason for having a Mini Blind Mural is the view from your window.  We have had quite a few orders come from New York City.  They wanted to choose their window view.  One gentleman was a computer graphics designer who worked from home.  The view from the window in his work area was a red brick wall.  He ordered the Woodland Deer Mini Blind Mural because it reminded him of back home.

A customer in California ordered Flower Falls Mini Blind Mural for her meditation room.  She wanted to feel as if she were in the serene woodland area listening to a waterfall.

A customer in Canada ordered 7 of the RiverView Mini Blind Mural for her screened in back porch.  She wanted to create the illusion of a larger water front home.

Why you would want one is purely personal.  I like to change mine with the seasons.  I live in Florida, but like so many others here, I am a transplanted New Yorker.  I miss the change of the seasons.  Especially the fall.  I miss the pumpkin farms and apple picking, the chill in the air and the excitement of the upcoming holidays but most of all I miss the changing leaves.  That is why I have Autumn Lakes and Autumn Hills in my home right now.

So... now you know what a Mini Blind Mural is and some of the reasons you might want one.  I hope you have a great day.

Thought I might do a little shameless plugging while no one was here to get annoyed. :-)

is everyone still sleeping? it is very quiet in here this morning.

I am often busy with the kids activities on saturday morning so I am not sure if this is normal.  I know during the wk there are alot of people on here this early.

Good Morning everyone! Haven't been on much...

the last few days.  I have been sick and still had way too much to do to be on the blogs.

Business has been way too slow (we are actually loosing a great deal of $ each month) so I started a job at the fast food place where my son works.  Went through orientation last night.  It looks like it might actually be kind of fun.  It will certainly be strange to be working outside the home after ten years as a stay at home mom.

It has been so hot here the last few days that I actually had to turn the airconditioner back on. Which I was not happy about.  The electric bill has been $450.00 a month for the last several months.  (that is insane)

Has anyone else noticed how expensive everything is getting?
mary

Tru gritt is a genius! I told her the story about....

steeling my cousins teddy bear when we were kids and that after she told on my I would say "I never liked you anyway".  I then asked if she could create something that said that and this is what she came up with

Is this perfect or what!

Thank you ... Thank you... Thank you!
mary
