Sigh. I'm just a little tinsy bit upset dear eBay. I was overbid on the most beautiful petticoat ever (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320237004268) - although I really should have increased my maximum bid with my sniper program when someone else bidded on it before the end - which causes the original highest bidder to increase their maximum bid. Emotional bidding, I think they call it.

It's not the end of the world though - even if I have been overbid on petticoats twice now - as I'm going to go with my friend to check the shops in town today, to see if they have pretty petticoats too.

For my costume, I need a slightly poofy petticoat as I plan to make a circle skirt (perfect for beginners, and perfect for a classic Little Red Riding Hood I believe) and I'd absolutely adore one that has a lacy hem, as I can make the skirt short enough to show the hem of the petticoat.

Ah well, there's still quite a bit of time for me to get this costume sorted.

EDIT: I found a cute little petticoat in town. It's not lacy, but it's very beautiful, and was a bargain!

I must admit, eBay. I'm rather fearful of snipers when it comes to bidding for items - but I have gotten my first part of the costume, although really, it wasn't a neccessary part.

The soft plushie wolf! So adorable, and surprising how I was the only bidder and it was cheap for a plushie like that.

Ah well, one step down, and still the important parts to go! 

Now now, I don't want a fuss kicked up, but I'm planning to cosplay as Little Red Riding Hood at the London Convention in May.

I'll be joined by my friends who are cosplaying as Kingdom Hearts characters, so yes, I think I'm going to stick out like a thumb with them, but Little Red Riding Hood would be so much easier to do than say, a Red Mage, and I wouldn't feel right cosplaying as a character from a series, because my skin tone just doesn't fit (and it would bother me enough to stop me enjoying it).

I'm not going as one of those 'adult' Little Red Riding Hoods either. Eurgh. Think B.B.Hood from DarkStalkers, except less blonde. Long skirt, with a petticoat, no bloomers though, and a long hooded cape!
