These instruments are top-of-the-line at an extremely affordable price. The LJ Hutchen brand was founded by veteran music professional, Paul Effman. Effman’s experience with student musicians is the result of 35 years as a music educator and bandleader. Over the course of his career Effman has been in a unique position to clearly understand the needs of young musicians and to learn what factors are most important to their education. Through his work he has ascertained that along with good teaching, a quality instrument is essential to ignite a student’s desire to learn.
Realizing that new musicians are not able to compensate for the problems of poor intonation or other mechanical imperfections that come along with so many student-level instruments in the marketplace, Effman set out to remedy the situation by creating his own line of instruments. So was born the LJ Hutchen line.
