Bush lives in my basement. Wondering about our crude oil imports...Posted Jun-25-08 22:57:39 PDT I've just been to the U.S. Department of Energy's website and viewed the crude oil importation quantities from the Middle East. Surprisingly, we only get a fraction of our crude oil from the Middle East. I didn't examine the list in great detail (it's pretty lengthy), but looking it over, it would appear that we get as much or more crude oil from Canada or Mexico as we do from the Middle East. You can go to the site and see for yourself. You have to click a few links to find the list, but it's right there for all to see. Pretty interesting, actually. If you have trouble finding the info, just let me know and I'll try to guide you to it. LOL! Does eBay ever stop the nonsense?Posted Jun-24-08 18:22:10 PDT
I received the feedback policy change message big as life YET AGAIN just now upon logging in to eBay. You'd think they'd be finished displaying this message, but apparently eBay wants to rub our noses in the new feedback policy just a little while longer. If you've been under a rock or something for the past few weeks and haven't been blessed with seeing the message eBay is pushing on members, here it is... with my comments, naturally...
Feedback changes
Big changes to Feedback start this May (uh, hello, it’s almost July already)
To help increase shopper confidence: (hmm, what about seller confidence?)
Sellers will no longer be able to leave negative or neutral Feedback about buyers (so feel free to do whatever you want, buyers, we don't care, so long as you're happy!)
Buyers will only receive positive Feedback (didn’t you just say that in the first point?)
Important new seller protections will be added (yeah, right, that’s sure keeping those non-paying bidders at bay, isn’t it? What a joke.)
I think it's kinda funny that they're still advertising this. Makes me even happier I stopped selling on eBay.
STOLEN GOODS ON EBAY??!!!Posted Jun-23-08 15:42:56 PDT Ever wonder how many items on eBay are stolen? I've been in the toy business for 15 years, doing toy shows and eBay, and I've heard many stories (from store employees and other vendors) of how guys will steal whole cases of toys right off the docks at Toys 'R' Us and other retail stores. Then they put them on eBay or take them to toy shows. That's how they can sell them for next to nothing. They're still making money! Hard to compete with that.
