Most Recent Posts Welcome Back 100%Posted Aug-23-08 11:12:09 PDT My feedback percentage has gone back to 100%!!!! This was one of the biggest complaints I heard at eBay Live. Counting Neutral Feedback against your percentage is just wrong and eBay got the message. Now if we could only do something about all the Non-payers and being able to leave them negative feedback would be great. I don't see the "non-payment strike" really does much good. You can non-pay one person, get a strike, and then go and bid on someone else and non-pay them. The 2nd seller has no idea that they already have a non-paying strike. Yes, you can set up your buyers requirements to block 2 unpaid strikes, but I don't want anyone bidding or purchasing my items if they have 1 unpaid strike. Well, I guess one problem at a time. I will say, that we have been leaving feedback as soon as we ship and then emailing the buyer to remind them about leaving a 5 star rating. It seems to be helping. So, far we have maintained our "raised" search level. I guess a little extra work helps out.
auctionspammer froogleseller www.windsorhouseofshoes.comPhotos make salesPosted Aug-17-08 09:56:35 PDT Hello everyone, I just wanted to talk about photos and eBay sales. Everyday I'm amazed at the poor quality of a lot of photos on eBay and wonder how those things get sold. Maybe it's my Graphic Designer background that just doesn't like seeing no-cropped, dark, fuzzy etc photos. I do believe that the photo helps with the sale. With my shoes I take both a front and sole picture of each and with neckties, I try to get close to the pattern and a photo of the tag. I commented to my husband recently that I must be tired because I've had a flurry of out-of-focus photos. I don't think I was tired but, I decided not to use my tri-pod for time savings. I guess my hand is shakier than I thought. Anyway, it's just food for thought, that a good quality photo is a big key to making that sale. Thanks for stopping by... www.windsorhouseofshoes.com
auctionspammer froogleseller The OlympicsPosted Aug-11-08 20:09:07 PDT I've been enjoying watching the Summer Olympics. One of the nice things about working with my husband is that he'll turn on the Olympics and he watches and works and I listen and work. My computer faces the wrong way :-( I have several favorite Summer Olympics sports...Swimming, Diving, Gymnastics. But, I also like seeing sports you normally don't see on TV. Fencing, Archery, Trap shooting, Equestrians etc. What are some of your favorite sports. Things have been going slower than my husband has wanted, but I keep reminding him that it's still August. The summer months are always slower. I'm betting that September will be a different story. Or at least I hope so... Well, time for Phelps to swim, must pay attention. Let me know what you're favorite Olympic sports are. GO USA!!!

You Never Know What Will SellPosted Aug-07-08 06:37:51 PDT About 4 years ago I was at a garage sale and purchased a bag of casino dice. Not thinking much of them, I thought my son would love to play with them. But, naturally he had no interest. So, this baggie sat on a shelf. Well, while cleaning place to put inventory we came across the baggie of casino dice. So, we decided why not list them in groups and see what happens. So, I grouped them and put them up. One set was an ivory-colored pair that said "West Side Club" on them. There were no serial numbers nothing just the words. So, up they went for .99. Well, they instantly, I mean within an hour, had watchers. Then, their first bid. Cool, going to sell them and didn't think about it again. Well, 7 days had past and we were at the last 2 hours of the auction. The price had gone up to $9+. When it was all said and done the West Side Club dice sold for $20.50 and was shipped to Hungary. I'll never understand it, but that is the power of eBay. Something that sat for 4 years, had no expectations about it selling, sells for over $20. Love to hear some of your weird and wonderful sellings. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully, I'll have more fun treasures to share...
auctionspammer froogleseller www.windsorhouseofshoes.comWorking the WeekendsPosted Aug-02-08 09:57:20 PDT After a long week of receiving tons of inventory and listing more than I have in 2 years, now my husband and I are working on the weekends. It's all for the good of the business. I do find it difficult to find motivation for this project. But, I'm also excited about our new adventure. I know that the weekends won't last forever, but we still have stuff to organize at the house for inventory and this doesn't get done on it's own. We have some great inventory and it's been lots of fun digging through the boxes. I have found many treasures, but I've also found shoe pairs of the same foot, or 2 different sizes. But, it's only been a couple and that's not bad. Now if I could just do something with my bored 11 year old son, life would be pretty good.
