Does anyone read descriptions?

The buyer I wrote about in my previous entry wrote back and appologized because they had not read the part of the description that stated a piece was damaged. It was clearly stated.

:rolls eyes:

Some people don't seem to realize how important it is to read the WHOLE description. I got jipped once for not reading the whole description. The seller mentioned a ripped seam in the part of the description that was about shipping. I learned my lesson about reading entire auctions after that.

I always state in my listings that the only type of money order I accept is a postal money order, but I still get something else in the mail once in a while.

Frustrated w/ buyer

So, I got a message today from a buyer stating s/he was really disappointed because the ($3.50) 14kt gold charm I sent had a damaged jump ring. These things are SO easy to replace...not only that but I clearly stated & even showed that the jump ring was damaged!!!!!!!

Here it is:

At first I told them they could send the charm back for a refund of the bid price, since it wasn't misrepresented. Then I thought, this thing sold for only 3½ flipping dollars, I'm not going to risk negative or neutral feedback (after I have worked hard getting to where I am now) over a $3.50 item. I wrote back and told them I will send them a perfectly round jump ring at no extra cost to them, since I have a few spares on hand.

WTH?!
