Observations..maybe

I figured out why society is in the toilet

No kidding, this is astute observation time!!  There is this program called The Hills on tv and I think there's a whole generation of people who think life is really this way.  OHMIGOSH I just have to tell you this Lauren Conrad chick is hysterical.  I laughed out loud, is she serious?  I just can't tell you how much I enjoyed this stuff.  Bruce Jenner's kid is on this too..hehe, he can't act at all...if he is that 2-dimensional in real life hehe..I tell you its the way of the world!! TOILET!!!

OHMYGOSH what are the Dodgers thinking???

You know, I have to think Juan Pierre must wonder why the Dodgers signed him.  He is the most expensive benchwarmer in the National League I think, Ned Colleti got the Dodgers yet ANOTHER left fielder.  Stupid, stupid...and its Manny???

Anyway, nothing much is normal in Dodgerville anymore since Joe Torre came over.  I am still waiting for Joe to flex his manager of the year muscles and bench the first stupid "name" player the Dodgers signed in Andruw Jones..first rule in free agents, don't sign the guy after the worst season of his career - that's indicative of something you know?

OYE!

The best movie...

If you are looking for a good movie to watch tonight - check cable because Old School is on.  It's hysterical, I mean its a gut buster.  I watch this movie and Wedding Crashers if the world starts getting to me.  This one though is just funny on all levels.

Does it occur to anyone besides me that Obama came onstage after 2 free concert acts performed yesterday in Berlin? All those 200,000 people didn't come in just to see the CANDIDATE, he is a candidate remember!?!?!  But I am fascinated in a driving by an auto accident kind of way by the press's handling of the Senator..his speech yesterday contained factual mistakes yesterday granted but to be honest, there hasn't been an American who has made a more profound impact on the world in a speech no less.  I say this because that Sarkozy dude is quite the rock star himself and his most recent performance in Berlin was quite the spectacle.  I realize I just ragged on Obama and praised him, I still am supporting him.  I still want to see some subtantive stuff on the issues though, I am not seeing enough.  I even ventured forth into cyberspace to try and ascertain more of an idea of his positions on several issues..but he should be making it easier for me..

Isn't Law and Order the best show in the world?  I mean - that Lennie Briscoe is my favorite, and then Benjamin Bratt...and no one can pass up that cute little Sam Waterston for just overt sexiness.  The stories aren't bad either.  But Lennie is the best, he is so funny and ascerbic and observant.  Wait, are there women on this show??

Baseball is a great sport

Okay, there's this fight on ESPN tonight from a minor league game that just amazes me, really amazing stuff.  These are grown men!  Then this one guy comes on screen and proceeds to hurl a baseball into (presuming) the dugout at the other team and the ball ricochets and hits a fan..but then the GMs had the ejections revoked (there were 17 of them) so they could play the game.  Wow.

My new doggie

Oh my new doggie is the best; his name is Schlomo..he has great eyes and some wild quirks, reminds me alot of a guy I used to date.  But he is a good guy, he hangs with me - knows instinctively when I am feeling ill so he hangs close and he likes the walk on the palisades.

Dodgers are trying to lose.  Eric Stoltz..not the guy from Some Kind of Wonderful, this is a young pitcher for the Dodgers...he has like a 10 run lead and he can't even go five innings.  Hmmm, I used to love Eric Stoltz - the other guy - he played Jamie's old boyfriend on Mad About You..Grace's old boyfriend on Will & Grace...he's everybody's ex...I'd like to call him that too...if you know what I mean.

Met a new guy this week who took me on the world's best first date.  He took me to the Angel-Red Sox game and then we spent the evening at Disneyland.  Hey, now this guy is fun! He is a little too close to his Blackberry but all in all, he's quite cute, 3 years older than me and drives a nice quiet black Porsche.  He has no desire to meet my family, no desire to infiltrate the cloud that is my life..he just wants to have fun.  Man, I wish I'd met him 5 years ago.  We are going to dinner Thursday night to this place in Malibu, and he doesn't call 3x a day but he calls once or twice a day and texts me witty commentary.  Subtle and not in my face.

I think we will call him Perfect Boyfriend.  Perfect brought me flowers on our first date.  Silver tea roses...no baby's breath.  I'm fussy can you tell?  I think I might cook him dinner this weekend after the bike ride.  I have a bike ride this weekend, he is not sponsored but Perfect Boyfriend is going to ride with me.  That's a nice guy.

Nothing else, I am a little confused by Ebay these days.  This whole not being able to comment on Buyers is killing me, since this rule came into play - I've had 5 non-paying bidders.
