Most Recent Posts Secret of the TradePosted Jun-25-06 09:02:25 PDT I am sharing this advice to all people who want to sell on Ebay. Here's the key. You talk to people who have stores or make or sell products. You buy stuff at stores and then ask how the get rid of overstock, return items, and end of the season merchandise. Its nice if you get to know them first, smaller communities have an advantage here, but I have sources in large metropolitan aeas. For places that make products, many times they only sell in their store or sell wholesale to others. They are like any other place. They end up with overstock, or need to move items to get a cash flow. You can't start with buying a couple of items, selling them and using the profit to buy more, or you can invest any amount of money you feel comfortable with and buy a whole semi load of stuff that someone wants to ged rid of. Many times, stores that are part of chains, have to move merchandise and are frowned upon if they have too much overstock returned that usually goes to a liquidator some place. Many times, you can give them your name and number, and when they have overstock that they want to sell, they will give you a call and offer the merchandise at a great price. If they move it out of the store, it saves them money from having to ship it back to a central warehouse, and increases their profit margin for their store. Managers love this. You can pick from stores that have items you want to sell, and most of the time you are getting items that are very sellable, but nobody in their area needed that size, color, or style of item. On eBay, you have a world of people who are probably looking for that size, color, style or item or are in the season to use it. It works! |
