Purchased a Department 56 house from Isoldit on an ebay auction.  Transaction ran smoothly, got to my door and looked just like anything else that could have been sent nicely on ebay.  Until I opened the box.  The inside was covered in goop.  Brown sticky goop.  The box that it was shipped in was completly dry, sealed, and looked great.  The inside was a mess.  After some surgical work and scrubbing, all the goop is off the house and it's back into near perfect condition.  Upon first looking I wanted to return this item to Isoldit but heard no response, so I cleaned it.  The Dept. 56 box now has some residue from the goop on there but isn't a huge deal.  I took the top layers off just slightly, now it's not as noticeable or sticky.  To sum it all up, I feel I tried everything to communicate with the seller and it just wasn't working.  But with a little elbow grease at least the house itself is eye candy again.  This mysterious goop did not appear on the pictures OF THE HOUSE, that was the whole thing, THE HOUSE, but how can you send something with a box covered full of goop that IMPACTED the house and say "not our fault, box condition wasn't listed?".  Thanks.
