No longer have to worry about unconfirmed

I also registered for it. Still need to make certain we ship to address on the transaction record, so, still will require getting customers to update incorrect addresses...but a move in the right direct. Not at all sure why this protection is limited to Power Sellers though.

I signed up. But we should note it is only for Powersellers. A nice perk, but not fair to regular sellers. Unless maybe we are some kind of test group?

50% of my buyers are unconfirmed because of small tiny errors...like small rd instead of RD. of Avenue instead of AVE. St. instead of Street.
I think it is ridiculous .
You go get the occasional buyer who does not know his or her zip code or shipping zone.
That makes me laugh. Or some buyers don't know the name of the township they live in.
For instance I live in Centennial,Co..A lot of computers even the post office has my zip code listed for Englewood..which is a totally different township.
Centennial is only 10 years old,and so is Greenwood Village ..it just sprung up in the last few years,most computers haven't updated it yet after 10 years lol

I'm not sure why either, carol. There was something about us having a "proven track record" in the FAQ. But lots of non-PS sellers also have proven track records.

Here's a tip..you can alter the address in paypal by editing it.
type in the unconfirmed buyers address in Google
Google will inform you of the CORRECT address...once the address is typed in to paypal's computer monstrousity,the address will be confirmed and you can ship all day long with it :)

I usually check the buyers address by typing it in to Google,,it will even give you a map ,a sattelite view of their house or business...spooky huh?
you might even see your customer waving at you :)

Sometimes you might see the buyer holding up a sign saying "I am waiting for my Ebay purchase ! " ..So then I guess that would be considered a confirmed address lol :)

I'm in Dell Grove Township but listed in Sandstone because Dell Grove does not have a post office. A lot of the problems with rural addresses is that big city corps have NO idea what country life is like. I can't get a PP debit card because PP won't ship to a PO addy but I do not have door-to-door USPS mail... a lot of small towns are like that.

I guess as long as the zip code is correct it should be ok.
Paypal also shows you ,at least it does when I am trying to ship an item,the reccomended address for the buyer..just edit the address and your done..:)

yes jcarolek ..email the photo of the buyers house to paypal. and mail some superglue so they can stick it to their forehead as a reminder for trying to hold up your payments for their stupidity.

My google search gives my street address but no PO Box -- if you were to do that, the box would be returned by USPS.

I did not know that you could have signed up b4! i have had to walk away from many sales because of the unconfirmed address fear.
