Unlike Superman, who got his butt handed to him by some strange alien, this does not seem so far-fetched.
Following the wake up the Civil War, Steve Rogers has given up his dream (and mask, and shield) on being the embodiment of America;
especially now that he isn't sure if this IS his America! The shooting was a shock - as well as what was revealed following it. I have a few issues left of both and they are selling like CRAZY on ebay!

Marvel's Civil War has militarized the entire Marvel universe superpowers. With Cap being shot down, some of the heroes gone underground, and Spiderman a felon on the run - we will see what happens next!

All I can say is this: there was ONE 'green' element that was notably absent from this whole mess; and he is on his way back to Earth. And he ain't happy!

The Grand Finale just ended! Now the fun really begins!

Civil War is in my view THE pentultimate storyline that will ACTUALLY TRULY change the world of the entire Marvel universe. Other storylines have made similar claims, but fell rather short. This time, its done coherently and in a good linear continuaty. All of these changes are far reaching and PERMANENT.

Now that the heroes have beat each other up to a pulp, the Marvel Universe is pretty much militarized. Most of the heroes have registered with Iron Man and workfor the U.S. govt. A small faction has gone underground, refusing to work for the govt. (I dont blame them). Captain America gave up on his dream and turned himself in! Spider-Man outed himself to the public, and now he, MJ, and Aunt May aren't safe anywhere! The FF are broken up as a family. Daredevil is making his way back from being prosecuted by the FBI over the past two years. Goliath is dead. the X-Men are more outcast than ever. Half the mutants in the world are dying or dead. The Marvel Universe is a mess; and I love it!!!

Oh, and to make matters even worse for everyone involved.....


the Hulk is coming back to earth. With a vengeance!

I gotta admit; I pulled out the back issues of 'Emporer Joker', the story where Mr. Mzyplytx (however its spelled!) gives the Joker 99% of his cosmic power, and the Joker becomes all-powerful.

What an awesome story!! We have the Clown Prince in all of his insanity completely remaking the world in his own sick image! Soon, he starts to control the entire universe!

Back in 2000 when this story first ran, I thought it was kinda ridiculous. It seemed like a serious DC-knockoff or Marvel's 'Infinity Gauntlet' storyline; where a madman gains all-consuming power over everything. But looking back, Now its kinda cool to watch the J-Man run amock all over the DC Heroes. He makes his own version of Bizarro, He tortures Batman in a Sisyphian manner (did i say that right?), over and over and over again in the worst imaginable way, turns the entire world into a weird Joker-fest nightmare, degrades the JLA into bizarre caricatures of themselves.....and Superman is quite literally the only person who is capable of stopping him. Even Darseid and the few DC cosmic characters are helpless against Joker!

With the re-emergence of BIZARRO in the pages of Superman, issue #160 of the "EJ' story has skyrocketed in value! Not only that, but the Joker is reappearing in Batman books; so this might help increase sales of this offbeat adventure even further.
