WORLD WAR HULK

SO far I am enjoying the Worldbreaker's return to Earth. He and his crew easily dispatched Earth's Mightiest Heroes and everyone in between; maybe a little TOO easily?

While I do understand building up a story, I think the battles between Hulk and the others should have dragged on a bit more. Iron Man built the Hulkstopping Armor, yet he is taken out in less than one issue. Come on, really? It seems like Hulk had a harder time on the Battle world than he did going up against seasoned heroes with YEARS of experience. That part was a bit of a letdown. I would have liked to see some fights drag on into mulitple issues - not just pages.

But I gotta tell ya, my fave character in all of this has to be Amadeaus Cho aka 'Matermind Excello'!

Very interesting lil fella! I like how his 'powers' are depicted as floating equations being rambled off in mere seconds. That. Is. Awesome. - to say the least. Here is a kid who took redirected missles with a scooter mirror! Great stuff! Mr. 'Seventh-smartest-person-in-the-world'. LOL I'm thinking, 'If he's #7, how much more smarter are #1-6?! This kid outsmarted (well, out-clevered) Mr. Fantastic! As far as I know, ol' Stretchy is at least a top-three person, right?

SO, the question that buggers me is 'Who are #s 1 thru 6?!

I'm glad I have a few copies of Amazing Fantasy Vol 2 #15, the 1st appearance of Cho. THey should be worth a lil more depending on his future role in the WWH series.

Now back to HOLKU. WWH #5 is some sort of mystery issue. The last 'mystery' issue from Marvel turned out to be the death of Captain (Colonel) America, so I wonder if there will be a huge, cataclysmic event that will happen in #5? My money is on yes. I hope so. So far this series is just above good, but not GREAT. Yeh, watching Tony Stark get owned was a treat (but it was moreso due to internal espionage than by Hulk). We need to see more destruction and way more SMASHING! I wouldn't mind seeing another death or two. If Hulk is considered the Worldbreaker, then he has to live up to that name.

Quesada needs to take this story to the realm of Batman's 'No Mans Land', where Gotham became this detached hellhole from the rest of the world. Lets have Manhatten become this permenant scourged part of the MUniverse - at least for a little while. Let's have this series take it to that next NEXT level!

I want to see this walking, breathing, living gamma-radiated weapon of massive destruction actually DESTROY STUFF...and lots of it!

Here's hoping WWH #5 and beyond takes it to that next evel (wink).
