Archive - December 2007 2007 was great! 2008 - Bring it on!Posted Dec-29-07 15:54:26 PST Updated Dec-29-07 16:00:07 PST Hey, 2007 was great! Personally, I got some things accomplished. Had a very fun time on Ebay, meeting people, making acquaintances, and finding great deals on items I thought I'd never find! (Shop Victoriously!!) haha... Also, I went to the Wizard World Texas Convention in Arlington and met my longtime comic book favorite, the legendary Marc Silvestri (whoo hooooo!) What better way to cap off a great year?! My goals for 2008 are to learn more about the comic book industry and transform my lifelong passion into a viable and profitable business. I've seen some good stores, some GREAT stores, some awful stores, and some ok stores. The great stores encourage me to become part of the business. The ok and awful make me think "Wow, I'm pretty sure I could do this a lil bit better". I've met and emailed some cool and knowledgable people who were/are very helpful and open to information. (you guys rock!) Here's to EVERYONE making their dreams goals and plans into reality! Aunt May or Mary Jane?Posted Dec-12-07 06:57:17 PST Updated Dec-12-07 06:59:01 PST THE SO-CALLED CATASLYSMIC event 'One More Day' is coming to a head in a few weeks and Peter and MJ must choose between their love or Aunt May. I wonder if there are odds in Vegas on the outcome? lol I thought about it and here is my 2 pence: WHY PETER WILL CHOSE MAY. Aunt May is Peter's sanity anchor and only surviving family member (that he knows of). After the tragedy of losing Uncle Ben, Peter relied on May for support more than ever. Aunt May and Ben raised Peter like a son, but after Ben died May became more than just family; she is forever Peter's hope of redemption from losing Uncle Ben. NOTHING MUST EVER HAPPEN TO AUNT MAY - not as long as he can stop it. Peter could deal with May's eventual natural death, but the thought of losing her from an assassin's bullet meant for him - that is just too much to bear. WHY PETER WILL CHOSE MJ. Kind of a no-brainer. Peter will always be the bookworm and MJ will always be the girl just out of reach. By all accounts it is a miracle that a supermodel would even be with a guy like ol Pete, but their love defies all odds. MJ has been with Peter thru so much in his life that their relationship; at this point only the LITERAL hound sof hell could possible break them apart! Even earlier in their relationship, there were times when they broke up. split apart, dumped each other. In the end, it ALWAYS came back to Mary Jane and her 'Tiger' (awww, am I tearing up? lol) Peter would repay her undying loyalty to him by showing the ultimate display of self-sacrifice. A sort of 'thank you for always being there' to MJ. We've seen many 'What-Ifs' when Peter did not end up with MJ; they usually don't turn out well.
WHAT WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN. Keeping in mind that this is the Quesada era of marvel (revealing Wolverine's past, killing 90% of mutants, Civil War, killing Cap, outing Daredevil) he likes to REALLY shake things up sooooo..... I can imagine him bringing Aunt May back, breaking Peter and MJ apart, having them forget each other completely, and putting Peter back into his little home in Queens and becoming a surly bachelor living with his sweet old aunt. The twist is that May will not be the sweet ol 'nana that we're used to. Now that there is NO MJ to keep Peter happy, will she become a bitter spinster forever nurturing a grown man who never bothered to have a relationship? Hmmm! I can imagine that in Quesada's universe. According to Mephisto's terms, Peter and MJ will NEVER EVER again cross paths during their natural life! Life without MJ? Wow. The implications are staggering. Of course this leaves for some very interesting unexplored relationships in Peter's life. GOODBYE, MARY JANE WATSON-PARKER! CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE!Posted Dec-10-07 20:49:15 PST ...and I'd like to get rid of a ton of comic books to make room for more NEW comic books! I hope people buy all these books Im posting.... |
