No Country For Old Men!Posted Feb-23-08 20:23:33 PST Updated Feb-23-08 20:31:08 PST Wow! Finally gave into all the hype and went to see this last nite; I actually want to watch it again. Gotta give it to the Cohen Brothers; they shurrrr can spin a good yarn! 'No Country' wastes no time jumping into a familiar story but taking all kinds of left turns! Regular guy stumbles into a scene of carnage, finds a hefty stash of cash ($2Mill!), and sets off a chain of events that doesn't let up until the final minutes of the movie! One thing I truly appreciate about this movie is the editing. Unlike many modern films, this one doesn't feel the need to bounce around to cut-scene after cut-scene. It takes it time, lets you soak in each scene, enjoy the dialogue and scenary (great cinematography!) and unfolds as a very good story. And this being a Cohen movie, you're gar-un-teed a good time with some unforgettable characters and scenes that will leave a stain on your brain! This is an A+ movie thru and thru: the story, the pacing, the acting, the action, the drama, the tension, the plot....you wish all movies can be this good. Love it or hate it, the ending is NOT a 'Hollywood' ending. Fans of the book will be besides themselves with satisfaction. Others may find themselve wanting. With that being said, the ending is appropo and sums it all up, title and all. I absolutely loved it! A+
