The Yankees WILL turn things around!!

The New York Yankees have had their ups and downs. They have been in the World Series for a number of years and then they have had a bout with the Playoffs for the past few years. One thing I do know for sure is that THIS is the LAST YEAR that our Yankees will ever play in the Old Yankee Stadium. They will make this one of the best years that they've ever had. And their fans will do good to remember that this is the last year that they can honor their heroes - Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, and so many others, inside this old stadium. It is filled with fond memories and even though it is the last year that this stadium stands, the memories that took place there will last forever. I myself am attending quite a few games this year to show honor and respect for those who have lived and breathed Yankee Stadium. It was their heritage, their life, their courage and strength that made these memories that we cherish today.

It is only April and we have many months to go until the Playoffs. I am and always have been a true believer in the New York Yankees. Even with the injuries that they endure, the team always seems to compensate and overcome. The players and current stadium are an entity that so many of us only dream about. That is why we go there...whether win or lose... we will become part of that significant history.

Since you are a great Yankees fan, maybe you can help me find something out. I have a small 7" castiron bak of Babe Ruth that is made up of two pieces (a front and a back) that is held together with a wooden screw. This is a very old piece and I can't seem to find any information about it. Think you might can help?

Hi,

Sorry, I only deal with the tickets aspect of the Yankees and enjoy their games. I have no knowledge of their collectibles. You might want to find an appraiser.

I think it would be a shame if the Yankees did`nt make the playoffs the last year in their stadium. But this year more than last , I`m a little worried. I supportted the decision to not go after Santana and keep the youngsters, however they may be a year or two away from being major contributors to a pennet race.
Also, its becoming evident just how much they miss A-Rod. and to a lesser extent Posada. The offencive depth just isn`t there like the past years to compensate for the loss of their stars.
With this said, the Yankees have to hope the young pitchers turn it around and A-Rod comes back soon and everyone stays healthy the rest of the way. If one of these break down , they are going to have to trade for some players.
I certinly hope everything works out and they turn it around. I think they will.
