An Ebay Life For Me?

Just letting out a little frustration

Well, we recently decided to move out of state and since that moment things have turned from calm in our home to a raging mess.  It seems funny to me for my first blog to be about this, but I need to get it out somewhere.  Between packing one room and then cleaning, painting and re-modeling I feel like I have no time for ebay, but I have to make time for it.  Not only regular day to day ebay stuff, but also trying to reduce the amount of inventory I carry since we are already limited on space for the move.  So auctioning items out at .99 cents, keeping up with shipping and listing everything that isn't already listed is taking up more time then what I usually spend on ebay.

The good news is that I am excited for this move, I am excited to have a new house with room to accomadate my ebay business.  I dream of a day when I no longer have to pull out my shipping supplies and put them back when I am done.  I want to have one space that is designated for shipping, one space for picture taking, etc.  Oh, this time is near but there is so much work to be done until that time arrives.

So, for any ears out there listening... thanks for giving me a brief moment to get this off my chest.

same here and we still have to finish painting and put in flooring. still have concrete for flooring. we had a house built but only had them do 90 percent of it, plu a huge piece of property to clean up, over an acre. we moved to the country. Not complaining though, I really love it here we are near a state forest so lots of birds etc
what is ur place like?

The house we are currently in is awesome, I really love it here. It is a little small for us and house prices are fairly high here. Our house is valued around $315,000 and where we are moving a house of equal size and updates only costs about $150,000. That is one of the main reasons we are moving. We haven't actually picked out our new house yet, but we have done a lot of looking.

Wow, they never finished? Were they supposed to? That would be stressful. I'm sure as soon as it is done it will be beautiful, it is just the process that is hard.

oooh.
we are on a house hunt - find 1 and there is an issue ;
want this to be settled but not looking forward to the work and worry.
what if we are sorry afterwards ?
A refrain .
but problems here may be insurmountable.
I think the not knowing is the hardest.
Good luck to you both.

we have only moved around in a little area where we are, from town to town and that was stressful enough, i could not imagine moveing out of state,LOL. that would be very hard. wow, your house is valued at that much there? i dont think there is any houses valued at that here, it would have to be a mansion,LOL. houses dont go for that much around here.even 150,000is a lot for here. we are hopeing in a few years we will be able to buy our own house, i would love that, i am so sick of renting. but it is so hard with no credit!!,LOL.

I definitely know what you are going through. I moved in May 2003 to my now husband's house(which was a 6 hour drive from my apartment where I lived). We got married June 21, 2003. I had 3 weeks to get moved, finish the rest of the last minute wedding details, and try to get unpacked before our wedding. In the scheme of things, we decided to add a feminine touch to the house by repainting/redoing our kitchen and bathroom. BIG MISTAKE right before our wedding! We worked anywhere from 10-13 hours a day to make sure the rooms were finished. I was having my family stay with me the night before our wedding, so I wanted the house to look nice since they had never seen it. Well, we got married, rooms were done, but my things were still in boxes yet. Still trying to unpack, six weeks later we found out we were pregnant. So I did my unpacking and got our spare bedroom ready for our baby girl. She is now 3 and we have a 16 month old daughter as well. So, I guess I understand how crazy things can get and the frustrations that go with moving/unpacking. Good luck to you and your family. Amy :)

Hi all!
Just reading the comments and had to chuckle, I live in CA and you can't even find a house for $150,000 anywhere! I do feel your pain in moving. We've made many moves and it never gets easier. You acquire more and more over the years. I told my husband "this is it", and he said that he would still like to build his dream house. After building two homes, I think this will do just fine. I'm not moving!
