You know you're too old to gig when

1. You need your glasses to see your amp settings.

2. You've thrown out your back jumping off the stage.

3. Instead of a 5th member, your band wants to spring for a roadie instead.

4. It becomes more important to find a place onstage for your box fan than your amp.

5. During the 2nd set, you scream for the drummer to stop hitting those annoying cymbals.

6. You refuse to play out of tune.

7. Your gig clothes are loose-fitting and cover as much skin as possible.

8. Your fans have left by 10:30 p.m.

9. Before each gig, you find yourself warming up more parts of your body.

10. All you want from groupies is a foot massage.

11. Your after-show party is at the Waffle House (Atlanta) or IHOP (NY).

12. You hire band members for their values instead of their talent.

13. You've lost the directions to the gig, again.

14. Prepping for the gig involves plucking hair from your chin or nose.

15. Most of the hair you've plucked from your chin or nose are gray.

16. You're thrilled to have New Year's Eve off.

17. The waitress is your daughter.

18. You stop the set because your bottle of Ibuprofen fell behind the speakers.

19. Most of your crowd just sways in their seats.

I am having my eliptical trainer delivered and set up as I type this. I will no more excuses like I didn't have time to get to the gym. Or the car had a flat. Or, I didn 't have any clean shorts. Or, or, or...... So what will be my excuse for not working out when I have this lovely piece of machinery right here?

Definitely the high spot of the week! ABC in their infinite wisdom decided to show an encore presentation of Thursdays episode last night. Thank the heavens cause as most of you know, my tivo got confused the night before and did not record it. I was crushed. Well I am no longer crushed and the episode last night was incredibly fabulous!!! It would have been awful to miss that. Anyway, yay!!!! Today brings some interesting stuff. My daughter has to go check in at a local mall at 10am. She will be modeling in a live fashion show in 2 weeks. She did this gig last year too and is looking forward to it. It was fun. Also, I am having a brandsey newsey eliptical trainer being delivered and set up today between 1 and 3pm. Since I find it virtually impossible to get to the gym these days, I am bringing the gym to me. As least it will be here and all my excuses to exercise will be gone!!! Betcha I can come up with some anyway? What do you think they will be?

Well, I am tivoing Grey's Anatomy again at 7pm. Hopefully it will work tonight. I so want to see it! But I am heading out to dinner with my bfriend. A little steak at the Outback. I can not believe my tivo didn't do what it was supposed to do last night. I looked forward to Grey's all week and when I sat down to watch it last night about 11pm it wasn't there. Of course, I went thru my recorded list like 10 times hoping I was just missing seeing it listed there. Well since you already know the title of this post, you know i didn't find it. Crapola!!! I am so majorly pissed there are no words. If they rerun it, I can catch it but it is then after the fact. Crap crap crap! So who can tell me what happened and don't leave out anything. Waaa :(

You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services. It is FREE and it only takes a second. Whether you support this endeavor or not, tt it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these for serving us their fellow citizens.

These women and men in uniform need to know that no matter what their circumstance or assignment, we support them, and want them home safe!

You guys know i am challenged on this thing they call the computer. How do I check the list for the round 3 winners? I can't seem to find it.

I have been driving my daughters ro school every day for the past 11years. I watched my two daughters 14 and 16 drive off to school this morning for the first time. My 16 yr old driving of course. My mom lives with us and took a little vacation for the next 5 days so my older daughter got custody of her car. My older daughter burned a special cd last night so she could have the perfect music going. My 14 yr old was grinning like a cat who just ate Tweedy-bird as her sister backed out of the driveway. As they drove towards the gate, I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry. There went my Belle and my Jasmine from Halloween 1994. Where did the time go? It is so surreal. They also have a half day today. Usually we always plan to go to lunch on half days. Well, they are still going but without me. Me, I will be here talking to you fine people! All I can say is "wait a minute", but alas time waits for no one, especially not teenage girls.

This one actually had me look for a second. But I would have actually received a message from eBay. To make sure, i checked my My Messages and of course it wasn't there. These guys are getting better and better. I don't know if it is going to post here the way it looked in my email but check it out. It had all the right colors and the template was exact. I tried copying it and putting it here but it didn't work. Well all you can do is delete it and move on whcih I did.

Good morning Blogville! No school today but I do have a job interview with a realty broker and I have to leave in about an hour. So here is the dilemma. I have been working for Ebay for the past 4 yrs and as you know, there is no dress code! Pajamas are sometimes the norm for the whole day. So after sitting on my butt literally for the past few yrs I have put on a little weight and nothing in my closet fits me not that I had corporate style clothing anyway but I do have some officy slacks if they were needed for something. Sure I have bought a few pairs of jeans and capris along the way to fit my ever expanding waistline but that is not exactly interview attire. The best thing I have are black cotton capris that are slightly cargo style. I can dress them up with some nice layery shirt action and look good, but if these folks are conservative in any way, these clothes won't be right. Then again, if they are conservative, they are not right for me anyway. I am as far from conservative as a person can get. From what I understand, they are pretty hip but when it comes to the all mighty $$, how hip is hip? Anyway, wish me luck! Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hey guys. Well you were all here with me when I started and I am officially done with realty school. 6 weeks have whizzed by! i still have to doa makeup class next thurs and i am sitting in on classes m,t, and w but for all intensive purposes, i am done. I actually understand some of this too. I will be scheduling my school test for early in the week after next so next weekend i will be hitting the books bigtime!!!! I sure hope I pass the first time. You get 6 tries before you have to pay any additional monies. Also, each time you fail the test, the next one gets harder. So i really want to pass the first time. I am in a great mood. Wow. How was you day?

Hi everyone!! Been a crazy week at school. It is hard to believe that 6 weeks has gone by since I started. I did a review class today that went thru 90 hours of classroom time in 4 hours. They touched on some major points but there is so much for me to remember. Tomorrow is my last regular class but I will still be going Mon thru Thurs next week. Mon and Tues are the first two classes I took and I think it is a good idea to do them again since it was like sitting in a room with people who only spoke Hebrew. Then on Wed is another review class. Yes, I am so there. Then Thurs will be the class I missed two weeks ago when i ditched cause I didn't like the teacher who was teaching it. After that, I am not sure if I will be taking more classes or just start studying for the test. Of course I had about 20 items to ship and had to relist items too. ANYWAY, hi to all my friends. I have missed you the last few days. I have already had 1 glass onf wine. Join me for number 2.

Hi. I am a bad mom. I have been struggling with my listings for the last 4 hours. I finally listed my new stuff and had a devil of a time relisting my relists. There is some funky stuff going on with Ebays software so I am done now for the evening. I have not even started dinner. So here I go down to my kitchen with no food because I didn't get out to the store today. I am a bad mom. I didn't clean. I didn't do laundry. And I have to go to school this week Mon thru Thurs. I am A BAD MOM!. So feel free to leave me a message as i am going downstairs right now to feed my family. Man o man. I am frustrated. I just about a half hour listing a new item and after all that time when I hit save and continue, it sells the sell feature is temporarily unavailable. I don't know about you, but my time is limited. I sure hope they fix it soon. I am so frustrated. I know i alread ready said that but.......BIG STINKIN SIGH!!!
