Archive - March 2007 I must be slow or just really busy. This was heartwarming. I saw this on Luredaddy's post.Posted Mar-31-07 11:11:58 PDT If you haven't seen this just copy and paste this in your browser. Sorry, I don't know how to put on a live link. This was a surprise reunion for a little boy at school and his dad returning from Iraq. Boy, I cried watching it. Enjoy it.

It is a private party (we do mostly corporate events) on a 4 acre estate in the ritzy part of town. The owners own the Grand Ole Opry and a big entertainment agency. Some of the cast from C.S.I. are flying in with others from Hollywood. There are other high rollers to be there as well. From valet parking to a local high $$$ restaurant catering this party, fun and frolic should be had by all. I am really looking forward to it. I will be bringing my camera. Wish you could be there too. My poor kid!! Instead of competing in the state gym meet today, she is getting a cast on her arm. At least I got a green star!Posted Mar-30-07 11:09:27 PDT Thus my ebay id and my existence. My daughter is a high level gymnast and today is the state meet for the level 9's. Instead of getting ready for the meet right now she is getting ready to go to the doc's office to get a cast on her right arm for the next 4-6 weeks. She has been training really hard for this meet. The state meet is the culmination of the 3 month competition season. Then if she qualifies (she would have easily) she goes to the Regionals meet in Utah in 4 weeks. If she is one of the top 15 finishers in her age group at Regionals (she would that too) she would go to the very top meet called Westerns. Well she isn't going to any of those. Her pain level got so bad this past week (she has been going to physical therapy for pain relief since last week everyday) that she took Wed off. I said ok, something else is going on here besides overuse. They happened to get her in for an MRI yesterday and told us we would get the results next week. I guess they saw something scary because I got a phone call at 5:30 last night telling me that she couldn't compete today and needed to be casted immediately. Of course she was at gym working out when the call came in. When I picked her up she was in so much pain I had to have the doc call in a pain scrip, gave her the news, and I think she was relieved that the pain was finally going to be over. Anyway, we go get a hot pink cast in about an hour. Damn. To my blogland friends who didn't see my earlier post and my pretty green new star.......Posted Mar-30-07 10:43:01 PDT I heard that the next one is yellow and shooting. That is at 10,000 I imagine. Guess I need to get off the blogs and start lisitng some more. I just picked up some fab sandals and bags yesterday. I am charging my camera bettery as I type. This is exciting even after all these years as a seller. Who better to share this with than you guys :p LOOKIE LOOKIE. I FINALLY GOT A NEW COLORED STAR. I AM TICKLED!!!Posted Mar-30-07 08:59:13 PDT Wow, I am green. Boy it took a while. Wonder if I will make to the next color. I have no clue what it might be and what I have to achieve to get it. Anyone know without me looking it up? I am heading out to the p.o. right now. I have to fix a boo boo that was my bad. Sent a size 6 instead of a size 8 shoe and my buyer leaves for vacay Sunday. Have to overnight the shoes for 19.00 bux and trust her to send me back the size 6's. She is a newbie too but I spoke with her and I am sure she will send the others back immediately. I still believe in my fellow humans. MOSTLY. ONLY 5 NEW FEEDBACKS AWAY FROM A NEW COLORED STAR. IT HAS BEEN FOREVER!!!Posted Mar-27-07 17:45:00 PDT Updated Mar-27-07 17:45:59 PDT Hit the wrong button before I could write something else. Duh!!! Anyway, so close. I can't believe I actually am a little excited to see it turn. How silly is that. So how goes it with you blogland? Hey hey hey. I just got back and missed you guys by 10 seconds. You trashed my place. Now come back and help pick it up!!!Party at my place. All are invited but bouncers will eject the nasties! So what are you drinking tonight?Posted Mar-24-07 20:06:04 PDT We have our trusty margs, some white russians. wine in all colors, martinis with or without the dirty, sex on the beach, you name it, we got it. Every beer know to man too. So, comon in. Vomiting and smoking outside only and optional. Twit, you are the sweetest 0 that I knowTop of the morning from the desert!! Roll call please. Who is here?Posted Mar-24-07 08:30:42 PDT Good morning blogland. I awoke to find no coffee in my fab Dunkin Donuts coffee tin (purchased right here on "the bay") and ran out to Starbucks to get my fave coffee. Triple venti vanilla latte with whipped cream instead of foam. Needed a little sugar and caffeine zing in my morning! We have weather in the 70's today and partly cloudy. Yippee. Mr Sun is hiding for another day, maybe. Anyway, stop and say hi and tell me where you are from. Have a great day! Dontcha just hate it when you get an undeserved unfavorable feedback with no communication at all!Posted Mar-20-07 21:09:45 PDT They think we are supposed to be mind readers. I got a neutral today. First one in eons. My feedback is inpeccable. My product is better than my feedback. I wouldn't have almost 6000 feedbacks at 100% positive if I didn't give a crap. This buyer chose to ignore that instead of emailing like an adult and telling me she didn't like the shoes or whatever her issue is. I just wish that people would remember to communicate. I reminded this buyer that communication is her responsibility as much as paying in a timely manner. I haven't left her feedback yet. I wouldn't consider it retaliatory either if I left a neg for her. She didn't give me a chance to fix it. Didn't even know there was an issue. Oh well. Just another day. Time for Sunday evening roll call. Who is here?Sorry for the small font. My font options and choices don't work.Posted Mar-16-07 09:33:47 PDT It could be my MAC or my Safari browser. I think I will try it on my PC. Thanks to all of you who answered my question about the new SYI form. I appreciate it. Ok. I am asking again since only one person actually answered my question. Please take 10 seconds to read my post tell me if you have had these issues with the new SYI form and if they have been corrected. I would truly appreciate it!!Posted Mar-16-07 09:05:48 PDT I was just wondering. When they first came out with the new Sell Your Item form, I had several issues with it that were not addressed after several months. Two of these were for instance, when you were relisting an item and had to edit something such as the amount of days you wanted the auctions to last, or change the starting bid price, the pictures would disappear and have to be reloaded again. Actually any type of edit would make the pics go away and have to be reloaded. What a fricken pain. Also, when relisting an item on the review your item page, the new form doesn't tell you whether you can receive an insertion fee credit if the item sells the 2nd time like the old Sell Your Item form does. The benefit is you can choose to click on sell a similar item instead of the relist button and then if it doesn't sell again, next time you can get the insertion fee refunded if it does sell. It is kind of nice to know these things So tell me, have these glitches been addressed yet? I shutter to think that I will have to use the new form come May when they discontinue the use of the old one. Anyone here still using the old Sell Your Item form besides me? I am not taking a pole. I have a couple of questions about the new form. Please read the post. Thanks.Posted Mar-16-07 08:52:18 PDT Updated Mar-16-07 08:55:32 PDT I was just wondering. I don't mean to start out complaining but...Posted Mar-13-07 08:29:14 PDT I ended up with 6 npb's in the last two weeks out of maybe 15 sales. MAJOR OUCH!! 5 out of 6 were 0 fdbk newbies and one was someone who had been a member for 6 mos and had 7 pos fdbks and 1 neg. These people are fricken killing me. The biz is slow enough these days without these mindless souless people that get their jollies by bidding, winning, and not paying, mucking it up. Some of them get in bidding wars and some even use the buy it now. I can't use the immediate payment option with the buy it now because I do ship internationally and that option is only available if you ship within the U.S. My international buyers pretty much never are the npb's anyway. That is reserved for the little girls in the U.S. who never nothing better to do than make my life miserable and think Ebay is just a game. Ahh that's a little better. Venting to my friends who understand always helps. Hopefully this will be a better week for me and for you. Thanks for listening. Morning from the deserts of AZ. Gonna hit 90 today. Break out the swimsuits!Posted Mar-11-07 08:20:12 PDT Although, you couldn't pay me to put on a swimsuit right now. Nuh uh!!! NO WAY! Today I am sitting an open house for my brokers listing. If someone walks in without a realtor, and then makes an offer on the house, I would get a 3% commission. The house is listed at 1.5 mil. I can not even fathom making that much dough at once. That pretty much would be the best thing that ever happened to me. Financially that is. I am thrilled when I sell an item and make a 40.00 profit. Gotta grab a shower in about 10 minutes so I have a little more time to chat. What are you up to today? Thanks Steve-O. I knew I could count on you to help!!Ok. Now that you know it is going to be 90 degrees in AZ this weekend, where are you from and what is the weather like by you?Posted Mar-09-07 07:16:20 PST All who want to visit, we could make it a bloggers pool party at my place this Sunday. Cocktails on me as well! You in? Whoo hoo! It's Friday. Roll call from the desert. Who is here this morning?Posted Mar-09-07 07:05:17 PST Hi all. Even though Friday doesn't make a diff in the life of a realtor, there is something emotionally great about Fridays. Goes back to school daze I am sure. I am taking a Jodi day today, so no office or real estate. My kids have a half day and then they are on spring break for the next week! Can't believe that is here already. Time is flying. I hope to sell lots this weekend, but that is my everyday sentiment as it is yours no doubt. It is going to reach 90 on Sunday. Yikes. I am NOT READY for that. I want 75 for a while longer. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Got anything exciting going on this weekend? |
