Archive - May 2008 Happy Sat! Seen Sex & the City movie yet?Posted May-31-08 12:09:40 PDT I saw it yesterday and as a huge fan, I loved it. If you are not a fan and don't have the back history, don't waste your time. You will be bored to tears. But if you are like me, it could have lasted 2 more hours and I would have been thrilled. Break out the cosmos! Just saw Sex and the City movie!!!!!!! Whoohoo!!!Posted May-30-08 13:53:05 PDT Updated May-30-08 13:53:36 PDT It was absof**kin' fabulous!!!!! No spoilers here so don't worry. If you know there series as I do, then you will love this movie to pieces. If you are not familiar with the series, then probably not so much. It was awesome. For duhway2goPosted May-25-08 11:11:57 PDT You need to turn your comments on. I hate the feedback system too. You can get your fees refunded though. Well I am not so pissed anymorePosted May-24-08 16:19:33 PDT It is more like acceptance with bigtime grumbling. The buyer who neutraled me, neutraled 2 other sellers in a 24 hour period. I have blocked her from further purchases. I wonder how many sellers will ever have 100% pos feedback again!!!!! My ex is throwing my daughter a grad party today and I am going over there (hubby won't go) with my mom in a little bit. His whole famil is there and I love my father-out-law and 2 out of 5 of his sibs who are there too. And they are all there honoring MY daughter so I have to go. Wish I wasn't so chubby. Probably weigh 25 more pounds than when I saw them all last :( Oh well. So what are YOU doing tonight? So forgetting yesterdays total crap dayPosted May-22-08 08:41:13 PDT although it is difficult because I will be looking at my not perfect feedback for at least a year, today is wonderful day. My baby is graduating from high school tonight. She has also already accepted her invite to ASU and will be living on campus. I will probably cry for a week. She made this awesome retrospective will I will probably put on youtube for all my friends and family to see. Graduation is tonight at 7PM. As if that isn't enough, today is my birthday. So happy birthday to me. That takes much less precedence than my kids graduation. Hubby and I will celebrate tomorrow. Yay. AND EBAY AND THEIR NEW POLICIES STILL SUCK AND SO DOES THAT AHOLE BUYER THAT LEFT ME A NEUTRAL YESTERDAY. I left her a negative positive btw if ya want to see. It made me feel a little better. Just talked to ebayPosted May-21-08 14:36:59 PDT They assure me the changes will bring buyers back and benefit us all in the end. I said that remains to be seen of course. In the meantime, all of us honest sellers will be violated by the stupid assholes out there who decide to leave neutral or neg feedback for lame things like a pair of shoes not fitting and have to take it. It only took 2 days.Posted May-21-08 14:16:32 PDT I am such an idiot. I am sitting here crying because a stupid fucking newbie left me a neutral becasue the Bebe shoes she bought didn't fit. I have no recourse and just have to take it. This really is the beginning of the end. There won't be a seller left that has a good rating. I now am at 98.8 in 2 days after being at 100% positive for over 5 years. I am just beside myself with anger. I am holding on to talk to ebay just to rant. This is a perfect example of whyPosted May-20-08 15:33:14 PDT the new feedback system will not work!! I have someone who just made an offer on a necklace. She has 1 feedback and it is a neg for being an npb. Had she not had the neg, I would have simply accepted her offer and most likely been hung out to dry like her previous seller. Instead as an informed seller, I emailed her and asked her to contact me with assurance of completing the auction. We will no longer have this option with newbies or anyone that should have a neg. Sad. The responsible sellers have been silenced. I am so effin pissed!!!!Posted May-19-08 08:47:49 PDT I have had 100% pos fdbk ALWAYS!!!!! I had a buyer leave me a neutral a few months back for not receiving their item. Of course, they didn't get a refund because I shipped the damn thing. I knid of blew it off becaseu it was a neutral. Now for the first time every, I am not at 100%. What the hell is that? I wrote ebay a scorching email not that it will do any good. And then there is a post below proclaiming "Now I am going to be more assertive with my feedback" by someone named Kool something or other. Didn't take long for the Napolean complexed aholes out there to crawl out from under the floorboards. Jeezus tap dancing cryst this is going to be worse than I imagined. We are doomed. Vent over for the moment. Feedback changes are here!!!!Posted May-19-08 08:16:07 PDT I just logged on to see what was going on in "My Ebay" and saw that I received 2 feedbacks since I went to bed. I always reciprocate as soon as I see the feedback left for me and a little window pops up that says 'SELLERS CAN NO LONGER LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK SO YOU MAY LEAVE HONEST AND ACCURATE FEEDBACK WITHOUT FEAR OF RETRIBUTION". Get ready for a bumpy ride my friends. I have 100% pos fdbk for almost 7300 transactions. I run into a moron every now and again though. I have a feeling it is going to be a bumpy ride. Put your seatbelts on and hold on tight. Yay! My mom is home from the hospital!Posted May-17-08 08:40:59 PDT She was released Thursday late afternoon. Hopefully with the meds she is on, she will be good as new. I have even started getting annoyed with her already, lol! A big hearty THANK YOU to all have has sent their best wishes and prayers in my direction. A bigger THANK YOU to ddskitty and all the rest of you who sent me that great blanket. You are wonderful and it warms my heart to know I have real friends here. I have been yapping and sharing stories and lives with some of you for almost 2 years now. I am (((((((((((hugging)))))))))))) each one of you right now :p I sure am going to miss the .50 fee!!Posted May-14-08 21:59:39 PDT Updated May-14-08 22:01:10 PDT I have spent the last few days going back over my inventory to make sure I had everything listed for the fixed price .50 listing insertion fee. I listed an additional 50 items and have sold about 30 since Sunday. I have also discovered that I like the fixed fee better than the auction. There is no buy it now fee and you can still do a best offer if you want. With a fixed fee, one also does not have to focus on when the item ends since it is the same price anytime. So my buyers don't really have to watch and wait till the end of the auction. If they want it, they buy it. So I think my auction days will be over. This has been awesome. For those of you who missed my baby.Posted May-14-08 08:24:55 PDT Update on my momPosted May-13-08 09:23:39 PDT She is still in the hospital but starting to feel better. The medication is obviously starting to work. They said they were going to move her to another room but now it looks like she will be staying put. We won't know when she is coming home. Her blood has to be at a certain level before they can release her. She is antsy but who can blame her. But I tell her to focu on the positive. She is getting out sooner than later, and will be fine on the Cumadin and can go back to her busy life. Off to see mom in the hospitalPosted May-11-08 08:53:03 PDT Definitely not a fun way to celebrate Mothers Day. For my mom or for me and my family. But she is improving. They have discovered blood clots in her lungs this week and that is why she was so short of breath. She has been on heparin and cumadin since Thursday. We hoping for her to come home Tuesday. That is if they don't find anything else wrong. We are yet to determine why she had these blood clots in the first place. Anyway, sure glad she is here to celebrate Mothers Day even if she is in the hospital. Have you seen this?Posted May-09-08 16:02:43 PDT My friend just sent me this. A genius 5 year old blind Korean girl who plays piano. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntReE2n15bo You will have to copy and paste. It isn't a live link. Wow. Gymmom asking for prayers.Posted May-09-08 08:46:34 PDT I am imagining some of you are wondering where I have been. My mom is in the hospital and has been since she was short of breath and not feeling well earlier this week. Well she has blood clots in both her lungs and will be in the hospital for at least another 4 days. This is way serious but treatable. They are treating the clots with blood thinning meds. My moms entire health history consists of an appendectomy at age 11 (she will be 82 on july 1) and cataract surgery last yr in 1 eye. She still works 4 days a week at our local Frys grocery as a greeter and bowls in a Wed morn bowling league. So, her health is incredible (better than mine). She barely wears reading glasses. Sheesh. So this is tough on her and of course on me. My 3 brothers live elsewhere. So my blogland family, please send out prayers and get well wishes in her direction. I love you all and thank you. Gymmom asking for prayers.Posted May-08-08 22:36:57 PDT I have been missing from Blogland this week. My mom has been in the hospital since Tuesday. She had terrible shortness of breath and we thought it might be her heart. It turned out to be blood clots in both her lungs. They started her on medication to dissolve the clots but she will be in the hospital for the at least the next 5 days. I am asking all in blogland to send out a prayer for her recovery. She will be 82 in July and is otherwise healthy as a horse! Thanks my friends. OMG!! What the heck?Posted May-05-08 11:36:09 PDT I just sold 2 more items and they are paid. What is going on here??????? YAY! That makes 6 in the last half hour. 4 more and that will be 20 since yesterday. Whoo hoo! I don't know what is in the waterPosted May-05-08 11:02:01 PDT but I have sold 4 items in the last 10 minutes and they were paid for instantly. Between last night and this morning I sold about 10 more. What a relief. Now if it was like this everyday............. |
