I had been dying to buy the game THE WITCHER. I had seen it advertised, went to the website and just had to have it. After months of procrastinating, I finally purchased it, got it in the mail and installed it. It took forever and I was DYING to try it out. Got it in, got it registered, clicked the icon to play and then, I got a box. WARNING MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS NOT MET. And then nothing. No game with garbled graphics, just a quiet little box that basically said, "Hey, your computer sucks, upgrade it."

So, I re-read the system requirements and sure enough, I don't have a gaming graphics card. I don't have enough RAM and I can't play my freakin' game. AARRRRRGGGH!!!!

So, back I go to bid on some more stuff. Won a Nvidia graphics card listed on the game box as being compatible. And a 400 watt power supply as the Nvidia card requires a minimum of a 300 watt power supply. And a 1 gig stick of RAM. I have 4 memory slots open and there is only a single 512 MB stick, so I have plenty of room for more.

All are paid for... now waiting on Mr. Postman...my $15 game and my $85 worth of stuff to make it work. Geesh, I hope it's a really REALLY awesome game!
