Archive - October 2007 Happy Halloween!!Posted Oct-31-07 18:09:29 PDT I hope everyone out there in eBay land is having a blessed Halloween! I know some of you will be disappointed by this, but Molly is not dressing up this year (Those new to my blog, Molly is a blonde cockerspaniel. She's our mascot.). She didn't feel like she had to prove anything to anybody. Molly really is a sweetheart. It's just that she HATES dressing up. She's a confirmed nudist. My friend's son dressed up as Nemo, and my best friend's son dressed up as a giraffe, which is my favorite animal. There were a lot of cute kids at church. Two adorable princesses who came to my door. One kid wanted Molly, but I told him she wasn't a treat. I don't think she appreciated that comment. Dreams Do Come TruePosted Oct-26-07 23:20:39 PDT I get a lot of flack from my friends for eBaying, but you know what? I am not going to let it bother me anymore. Would you like to know why? I made my modeling debut on eBay! Yes, that is my wrist in the bracelet listings! I'm too short to be a conventional model, but through eBay I can change that. The sky truly is the limit! A Friend in Need...Posted Oct-24-07 21:00:55 PDT My best friend and I have a bit of a rocky relationship, but through it all, we have always stood by each other. She's going through a tough time with her new marriage. Her week old marriage is suffering from ex-wife drama, a jealous matchmaker, and a new step son who does not want to sleep in his own bed. She moved 45 minutes away from me, and I wanted to let her know that no matter where she lives, I will always be there for her. So I gave her an Angel Penny. Of course, she cried and I cried. It was a Hallmark moment. Lunch with BFFPosted Oct-23-07 21:01:44 PDT So, my aforementioned best friend who does NOT think that my job is a "real" job asked me to have lunch with her tomorrow. I am totally nervous. I know that I will receive a brow beating about "real" life and about my past mishaps. I'm more worried that she's going to tell me that her barely week old marriage is in trouble. She met this guy five months ago, and she married him. I wasn't invited to the civil ceremony, but neither were her sisters and brother. His brother, sister-in-law, and nieces were there. Which makes me think that even though she didn't want anyone other than their mothers present, he invited his family. Sounds like a rough start, huh? On a side note, do you think it's weird to take multiple pictures of a sleeping person? I do. He took pictures of her sleeping during their two night honeymoon. I don't know. I've only spoken to him once, so I don't know whether he's a good guy or not... Welcome to the FamilyPosted Oct-22-07 18:28:37 PDT As it stands now, there are six members in the family. There's Mom and Dad. Don't call them "Mom and Pop." They don't like that. Then there are my brothers Larry and Ben. They work at the physical store, which according to my friends and family, is the "real" job. When you tell people that you ebay for a living, you don't exactly get a positive reaction. Especially from my best friend. She askes me when I'm getting a real job, and I pretty much ignore her. Molly the cute blonde in the picture is the favorite member of our family. She's a princess in disguise, you know. She told me one night when I couldn't sleep that she was originally the princess of the Canine Kingdom. Unfortunately, she was adopted by my mom and dad and had to settle for the life of an ordinary dog. What she doesn't know is that she gets treated better than she ever would have as Princess of the Canine Kingdom. She gets jerky treats constantly, she sleeps on a fluffy pillow most of the afternoon, and she has a basket full of stuffed animals. Not to mention, she has mom at her every beckon call. Now that you've met us, I'd like to say, "Welcome!" |
