Archive - January 2008 What in the World?!?Posted Jan-30-08 10:43:05 PST My dad bought some Valentine's Day items for the physical store. He got fake flowers and a really cute mug that has a small bear peaking out of the top. For whatever reason, he also got furry handcuffs. It really shocked me because that is the complete opposite of my dad and his character. When I was little, he owned a Christian bookstore. I asked him about it and he thought they were a funny novelty item. We all agreed that they would not go on our online business. This morning I checked what had been added, so that I wouldn't list something that was already online, and I saw that the handcuffs had been added! I was upset about it and asked my dad what was up. He told me that my brother added them last night. I haven't been able to talk to him today, but I think that we need to get in agreement about what does and doesn't go online. Molly's FollyPosted Jan-28-08 12:54:44 PST My bedroom is a veritable treasure trove for Molly, but only when I'm not there! Last week, I went into my room to get my earrings, and I heard a noise. It startled me. I turned around to find Molly looking beyond guilty in my closet. She had knocked over a small plastic box where a birthday present for a friend had been perching. The gift bag was turned over and foil wrappers were crumpled up on the floor around it. Molly had eaten the chocolate candy I had put in the gift! At first I was upset about the mess, until she started throwing up. I felt terrible because she had made herself sick. Not to mention, the gift was already late. I took her to the vet, and she had a mild upset stomach. Good things can come out of messes. As I was cleaning up the items that had fallen out of the plastic storage box, I came across two gifts my ex gave me – a pair of Prada sunglasses and a Marc Jacob wallet. Those two items are the final remains of a bad situation that I am thankful is officially in my past. Since we should put the past behind us, I decided to put these items up for auction. I want these two items to bring happiness to someone. New Year, New BeginningPosted Jan-08-08 12:10:42 PST I love the New Year because it's not only a time of reflection but also a time of renewal. My last blog entry caused problems and strife. It wasn't my intention to hurt anyone. I apologized, but I think that saying I'm sorry online will be more healing. The holidays were really hectic this year, and I barely had time to think let alone blog. My brothers and I are coming together about the future of HB Variety. I think we each have a vision for what we want this eBayness to be, and it's going to be exciting to see where it takes us in 2008. Have a Happy and Blessed 2008! |
