Most Recent Posts Welcome to my StorePosted Jan-25-07 19:18:13 PST Hi, welcome to my store, The picture in the corner is my wife an me on our 2006 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic!! we were at Cook's corner in Southern California the day that picture was taken. We have enjoied many rides, we took a vacation on the bike and went in a big look around the southwest. we went to Tucson AZ, to Carlsbad NM, Santa Fe NM, Flagstaff AZ, Kingman AZ and then home...it was only a week long but what a week it was! we went to Tombstone and walked around the old courthouse. Later that day we went to Carlsbad New Mexico, it was a long day riding, but we had a blast! The following day we went to the Carlsbad Caverns and hiked about 7 miles around the caverns, my legs were killing me after that, boy was I out of shape! Later that evening, we returned to watch the bats flight which happens almost all year long, the bats eat about 20 tons of insects every night...there were millions of bats, it is quite a sight to see. We the following day we left and went to Santa Fe NM, we stopped in Roswell and visited the UFO muesume, that was fun...we then went and toured about in Santa Fe's art district that evening and watch a beautiful sunset. We then turned westward and went throught he petified forest and we stopped in Winslow AZ, that is a picture of my bike "standing on the corner in Winslow AZ, Such a fine sight to see." We had to do it...we tried to get a room in Winslow AZ, but could not get one, there was this world famious Hotel that we didn't know about that we tried to get into, but it was full...which was funning, because there really isn't much in Winslow AZ. we continued west to Flagstaff where we did find a room. The next day we got up and went to see the Grand Canyon, we then went by 2 other national parks which the names I can not tell you off the top of my head, but they were awesome! It was a heavy overcast day and it looked like it was going to rain all day, that finally caught up with us about 5:00pm and we did get soaked on the way back to the room. we went into the pool to warm up...which was indoor. The next day we waited out the rain and left about 10:30 am we arrived in Kingman, we took the old Route 66 which was a blast, we stopped by a place called Grand Canyon Caverns, we took the tour and went down there, they were very different from Carlsbad Caverns which is an "alive" cave versus a "dead" cave. I believe when I was a kid the place was called Dinosaure Caverns. We arrived in Kingman and enjoyed the evening. The next morning we continued the Route 66 to Oatman where we stopped for a bite, that was a great spot...We left there and continued home which we arrived at about 7:00pm
anyways, thats enough for now...I have some pictures posted here: http://community.webshots.com/user/alanbingham4 there are 900 pictures of the vacation trip, check it out you will really enjoy them. Alan.
