After a brutal fight with John, Martin is killed in a car crash as he races away from the scene. But now Emma's true nightmare begins as the ghost of her dead husband haunts her from her grave. Running Time: 86 Minutes. (c) 2003 The Asylum Home Entertainment. Well, the movie was ummmm...."nice". This movie is more on flashbacks than it is about the present. It is about Emma, Martin, and John being childhood friends. As grown ups, Emma marries Martin, who is an insecure chap with a tough guy front. After Emma catches him with yet another bimbette, Emma divorces him, and begins a new life in a cottage out there in the rural. Meanwhile, John, always the best friend finally becomes Emma's new lover, while Martin plummets to alcoholism. All flashbacks of their friendship, how daddy never approved of Martin, John being a good guy, yadididia....and Im wondering, "OK, doesnt the front cover say 'In the Tradition of The Others & The Sixth Sense'?" So, when does the haunting start?? Well, it doesnt until the last 15 minutes when someone actually DIES, and you go 'Yay, guess this is when the horror begins!'. This is more drama, than it is Horror. 'Surprised that Asylum took on this flick. All in all, it's a Lifetime Movie Channel material. No slash, nor gore (which is good for me), but just a love triangle gone awry. *Yawn* A+ for the expected British movie. No drop dead gorgeous actors, and no millionaires, or out of the ordinary lifestyle. No Hollywood stains here. |
