What do you do for sticky dolls and VDS?

I hope some of my visitors will share their techniques for dealing with two common problems for SSC collectors:  VDS and that sticky feeling on some dolls.

You can wash them but it comes back.  And once VDS is there, is there anything that can restore the natural look of the little legs?

Update, August 19, 06, hey, found my own answer.  There's something called orange goop that works wonders on both dirt and stickiness.

And though I haven't found anything to remove VDS, bathing the dolls who have it in a solution of colloidal silver and water seems to stop it from spreading.
